[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2044718] Re: mantic on raspberry5: x and/or lightdm problems
I agree; however, I don't know exactly how to proceed/who to report it to. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The current work around works great, but it's still a manual work around with everyone having to search for an answer. Public bug reported: In Ubuntu focal, 20.04.2, amdgpu/Xorg kernel driver crashes/resets occur with various previous-generation AMD Radeon GPUs, for instance Radeon RX 5500 XT. There is a recent fix in the mesa library. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1168182] Re: Dual monitors messed up on restart from latest (April 2013) Ubuntu kernel update
The behavior still happens - on reboot with dual monitors, one monitor gets no signal while the other has the screen shifted by half and purple dot background filling the rest. I wish I could test with the latest development release but I need this system intact for work and can't mess with it so much. Also please note I have not duplicated these symptoms on any other machine. If no one else is reporting it perhaps it is a hardware or setup specific issue (although someone else tagged it as being xorg-server problem a while back). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1168182 Title: Dual monitors messed up on restart from latest (April 2013) Ubuntu kernel update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1168182/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

At my laptop the response is very slow and unworkable due to a intel driver issue (I think) so I am limited in my suggestions for you. Have you created a separate user for this 11.04 environment, with a separate home directory like /home/separate/. I would recommend that, the settings might interfere with the settings from other ubuntu versions. 2011/2/7 rtstxtrdnr 711...@bugs.launchpad.net I have done this on a separate partition but now am trying to work with missing buttons on the dashand cannot add them. The most important are places, application, and system. Also the firebox button disappeared! Any help would be great. I am currently using 10.10 to work on. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 694200] [NEW] nvidia-173 (173.14.28-0ubuntu1) fails to build kernel module with kernels 2.6.35 and 2.6.36
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nvidia-173 nvidia-173 fails to build kernel module with kernels 2.6.35 and 2.6.35 With my recently updated Ubuntu 10.10, the nvidia-173 package fails to build the kernel module for the latest 2.6.35-24-generic kernel, and also for the newer 2.6.36-020636-generic. And, on a somewhat related note, why does each installation/reinstallation attempt of nvidia-173 remove all DKMS Modules?
