In /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/7.3.0/include/stdatomic.h, before the definition of the atomic_store_explicit macro: Note that these macros require __typeof__ and __auto_type to remove _Atomic qualifiers (and const qualifiers, if those are valid on macro operands). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1780747] [NEW] Use of atomic_int now fails with address argument to atomic operation must be a pointer to a trivially-copyable type
Public bug reported: This appears to be a regression from clang 6.0.0 to 6.0.1 (also reported upstream: https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37457). The following code: #include int main(int argc, char** argv) { atomic_int tmp = ATOMIC_VAR_INIT(-1); atomic_store_explicit(, 42, memory_order_relaxed); return 0; } fails to build: $ clang-6.0 -std=gnu11 -Wall test.c test.c:7:3: error: address argument to atomic operation must be a pointer to a trivially-copyable type ('_Atomic(int) *' invalid) atomic_store_explicit(, 42, memory_order_relaxed); ^ /usr/bin/../lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/7.3.0/include/stdatomic.h:126:5: note: expanded from macro 'atomic_store_explicit' __atomic_store (__atomic_store_ptr, &__atomic_store_tmp, (MO)); \ ^ ~~ 1 error generated. If I replace "atomic_int" by "int", the code builds and works as expected. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 197589] Re: Numeric keypad no longer works after upgrade
A recent ugrade on my mom’s machine running lucid (lsb_release says 10.04.2) turned on the mouse keys in keyboard accessibility by default, when they were previously disabled. This had the very annoying consequence of the numeric keypad apparently not functioning any longer, and only by googling the issue did I find this bug report and understood what had happened. Needless to say, a normal user wouldn’t have found this kind of solution by herself… I’m attaching apt’s recent log with the list of packages that were upgraded. This list doesn’t contain gnome-control-center, so the issue may actually be with another package. ** Attachment added: history.log https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/197589/+attachment/1826024/+files/history.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-keyboard in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197589 Title: Numeric keypad no longer works after upgrade ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
