[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1975454] [NEW] Cannot resume after suspend

2022-05-23 Thread fcole90
Public bug reported:

For some weeks I notice that my laptop cannot resume after suspend. When
I try to resume it, instead of the usual password prompt, I'm greeted by
a black screen with the following text:

```
Bluetooth hcio: Timed out waiting for suspend events
Bluetooth hcio: Suspend timeout bit: 6
Bluetooth hcio: Suspend notifier action (3) failed: -110
```
(There might be typos, I retyped it from a photo)

Then, I don't seem able to do anything, not even change virtual
terminal. So I need to reboot and lose my previous session.

I noticed it seemed to happen since 22.04 came out of beta, but the
timing also coincides with me starting using a Bluetooth mouse, so that
might be connected.

Let me know if you need more information or digging into the logs

Since few days, I'm experiencing the same behaviour under X. Shall I
open a separate report for that?

I recently noted that if I put a window over the other, the bug appears,
but if I put one next to the other, then everything works fine and
smooth

2021-02-22 Thread fcole90
** Description changed:

  Original description:
  When using Chromium (snap) on Wayland (gnome-session), if I keep two windows
open on different workspaces, sometimes the current tab becomes unusable as it
freezes or is super-slow.

  This usually happens with specific pages open, like youtube, mattermost,
  google drive.

  Minimizing one of the two windows makes the other work fine.

  The issues does not happen if both windows are on the same workspace.

  I've seen this issue in 20.04 and 20.10, always on Wayland sessions. The
  same behavior doesn't happen on a plain X11 session.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1807519] [NEW] xrandr fails setting panning on valid size

2018-12-08 Thread fcole90
Public bug reported:

I'm trying to downscale GNOME interface, and in order to do this, on X,
I'm using `xrandr --scale 1.25x1.25`, which produces a larger view,
which I'd like to fit to my screen size.

So i'm trying to use the --panning option as follows:
`xrandr --output eDP-1-1 --scale 1.25x1.25 --panning 1360x768`

What happens is that the scale is applied but the panning is not, and throws
the following error:
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)
  Minor opcode of failed request: 29 (RRSetPanning)
  Serial number of failed request: 32
  Current serial number in output stream: 32

My xrandr output (`xrandr --prop`):
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1366 x 768, maximum 16384 x 16384
eDP-1-1 connected primary 1366x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y
