[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 735122] Re: Samsung Q35 trackpad unreliable in Maverick

2011-04-28 Thread bugbot
Hey Laura,

Hi, have you had a chance to test if this bug is still present in natty?

If it does (and if you're the original reporter), please boot into natty
and run the command:

  apport-collect bug-number

which will update the bug with fresh logs and tag the bug as affecting
natty. (It is best to run this right after reproducing the problem.)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 735122] Re: Samsung Q35 trackpad unreliable in Maverick

2011-03-16 Thread Laura Cowen
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected

** Description changed:

I recently installed Maverick fresh on my Samsung Q35 laptop. Since
then, the trackpad has been unreliable. When dragging and dropping (ie
keeping the left mouse button down while moving a finger across the
trackpad), if I run out of trackpad I lift and move my finger while
continuing to hold the mouse button down and then continue moving my
finger across the trackpad (like you do with the mouse when you run out
  of desk).

- On Maverick, if I lift and restart dragging my finger too quickly (in
- some applications anyway), the trackpad seems to interpret that as
- having 'dropped' whatever it is I'm dragging and dropping. Leading to
- fun trying to track down emails that have ended up in the wrong
- folder... It seems to affect some applications better or worse than
- others. Sometimes if I'm slow at lifting then replacing my finger, it's
- fine (it realises I'm still in the same drag-drop process) but sometimes
- it's really tricky to do that. It's also unnatural.
