  darktable does not render text in overlay/watermark svg-files

Status in darktable package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  darktable does not render text in svg-files created with inkscape
  correctly.

  To reproduce: make a svg-file containig text with inkscape. Add it to
  darktable's watermark source and try to apply it to an image. The text
  will not render. Instead a black box is shown where the text should
  be.

  For example: see attached screenshot.

Bug description:
  Well the question is in the subject, again:

  Will the bugfix releases for 2.4 come up in 18.04 packages or do I
  have to add the ppa?

  I am not sure about how this works - is ist enough to wait for regular
  bionic updates or is the version in 18.04 doomed to have bugs forever
  and I have to add the ppa to get new releases?

  It would be very appreciated to read some info about this, thanks!

[Ubuntustudio-bugs] [Bug 1762846] Re: OpenCL disabled on nvidia

2022-08-21 Thread Erich Eickmeyer 
> Should darktable depend on nvidia-opencl-dev

No, because that would potentially install nvidia dependencies for those
that don't need it. Therefore, those that need opencl support on nvidia
should do as you did and install nvidia-opencl-dev.

Closing this as this was a support issue, not a packaging issue, and
should never have been open in the bug tracker as bug trackers are not
places for support questions.

Title:
  OpenCL disabled on nvidia

Status in darktable package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  OpenCL is not enabled by default.

  Steps to reproduce :
   * install the nvidia driver
   * install darktable
   * run darktable on command line : $darktable -d opencl

  =>
  [opencl_init] could not find opencl runtime library 'libOpenCL'
  0.159268 [opencl_init] could not find opencl runtime library 'libOpenCL.so'
  0.159327 [opencl_init] could not find opencl runtime library 'libOpenCL.so.1'
  0.159333 [opencl_init] no working opencl library found. Continue with opencl
disabled
  0.159336 [opencl_init] FINALLY: opencl is NOT AVAILABLE on this system.

  Workaround : install package nvidia-opencl-dev

  Should darktable depend on nvidia-opencl-dev ?
