So, here's where we're at with this: Ubiquity is back in Ubuntu Studio and we're using the GTK version as of 23.10 which, for ubuntustudio-meta, fixes this bug. However, for 24.04 LTS we will have to switch to subiquity with the flutter-based frontend as Ubuiquity must be sunsetted as Canonical cannot support it for another LTS along with subiquity. As far as fixing in previous releases, it's not so much as "won't fix" as we can't fix. Expected behaviour (as stated in the test case): 1. Boot Screen 2. Ubiquity - select language 3. Click Try Ubuntu Actual behaviour: 1. Grub menu - I chose Ubuntu Studio (not clear it was for the live session - but the other options were definitely not). 2. Boots successfully into the Live Session, but everything is in English. This is probably not the best experience for a non-English speaker to "try Ubuntu Studio".
