New evidence links the Saudi royal family to Saudis in South Florida, who reportedly had contact with the 9/11 hijackers before fleeing the US prior to the attacks. The candid statement is another counter to the spin local Democratic government tries to put on things to hide their legacy of failure. Notice, the light standards planned for the center traffic lane of North Broad St received more and wider press coverage than this hoped to be wonderful purposeful building. Of course any moron (nee city planner) knows how critical the North Broad Street center lane is in rush hour traffic for emergency vehicles and police trying to get to Temple Hospital. Similar stupid planning by Democrats would never be tolerated by the South Philadelphians. Ciao, Craig

New school construction, as education reform, has long been a method to funnel money to the construction industry, while distracting from the ongoing destruction of public education. I visited a primary school in the Ashanti kingdom, in modern day Ghana . It was a large hut with a dirt floor. Good schools arise from people! Schools need children who are safe, secure, and loved. They also need a sufficient number of principled adults to give each child the quality attention that is necessary for development and the transfer of knowledge. That is what makes good schools and healthy children! And that is what is sabotaged in our crumbling society. The school debate is focused on sabotaging teachers, as part of the general assault on human labor. Closing libraries, music programs, counseling, etc. and shifting the resources to cronies in construction and real estate serves two purposes at the same time. If one holds stock in private prisons, I guess it serves 3 purposes. If you believe the reformers, upscale lights, parklets, and a chain drug store are what is needed now for West Philly High. [UC] The cops on murder night
The night that Troy Davis was murdered in Georgia, the cops attacked non-violent protesters at city hall. (This was merely described as reports of a heavy hand by police) When the first reinforcement bike cops rolled in after the people occupied the street, two of them attacked several protesters behind me, with their bikes, for not moving fast enough. Once they saw all the cameras, they stopped the physical attacks but many of the low functioning strike force continued the threats and intimidation. I didn't get back to the people's occupation of wall st yet, but the cops have started attacking our brave brothers and sisters there. If your spirit has any life left, come to Freedom Plaza(formerly Zuccotti park) in Manhattan and reinforce the struggle for humanity! [UC] Depravity of de-sensitized, poorly trained, unrestricted police
Story of Mumia reads very similar to this scenario: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6-2Je4xA0Afeature=player_embedded Philadelphia cop bashes innocent girl in the head with a loaded gun, threatens to kill her, falsely arrests her for the crimes which His son/HE committed against HER, then extorts to try to destroy the video recording of HIS crimes, and then gets PROMOTED to sergeant for doing all of the above. The fact that Officer Alberto Lopez is still a cop screams volumes about the contempt which some cops can have for citizens.
