[UC] families with au pairs
Hi, are there any families with au pairs on the list serve? We have a relatively new au pair and I would like to introduce to some others in the neighborhood. My au pair has some questions about getting her social security card, opening a bank account, etc. Thanks!
[UC] Did anyone go to the Historical Commission hearing yesterday?
Did anyone go to the Historical Commission yesterday and find out what Penn has in mind in their application for permission to erect a seven-story on the lot with the original house at the former Thoroughgood Nursing Home. I'm sure Penn intended to discuss this with their partners here in the community -- that partnership being a cornerstone of their widely-acclaimed civic engagement policy -- before making any real plans. But, well, you know, they're so busy neglecting lab animals down there that they just plumb forgot to do it. If anybody went, could you give us some info? Lea Elementary at 47th and Locust will be participating in Greater Philadelphia Cares Day on Saturday October 22, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lea will be receiving approximately 75 volunteers from PCD but would like to have additional volunteers from the community.
