[Bug 376248] Re: Ubuntu 9.04 has an obsolete version of teeworlds

2010-02-20 Thread madbiologist
Currently, anyone installing Teeworlds on Lucid will probably want to
update to the newly released 7.7-3ubuntu1 package.

It contains the following fix (taken from the Debian changelog):

+commit fdfa4c85297d5d25e7256bf73e35309b358af86c
+Date: Sat Jan 23 17:27:21 2010 +0100
+
+ st/mesa: fix unsigned/signed breakage in scissor
+
+ commit 53174afeeb introduced a portability change that converted GLint x,y
+ to GLuint. That breaks when x and y are negative, which seems to be allowed,
+ and which at least one game uses : teeworlds.
+
+ Rather than simply reverting the change, it seems possible to convert the
+ 16bit unsigned to GLint so that comparisons are made between signed integers
+ instead. This hopefully does not break anything while keeping MSVC happy.

This package should be included in Lucid alpha 3 and later.

The current version is now 0.5.2. It would be nice to update the game
package for Lucid !

[Bug 376248] Re: Ubuntu 9.04 has an obsolete version of teeworlds

2009-05-13 Thread mathieu
I agree, ubuntu is one of the most used GNU/Linux distros, and that's a pity
that there isn't any usable version of Teeworlds.
Moreover, even if we can download the archive from the website, it is not what
we may expect from an almost up-to-date distribution.
So we may at first ask why they did not find useful to include the 0.5.1
version of Teeworlds, or at least the 0.5, and see if there is a way to change
this.
