Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] repositories not consistent
4 days later, still broken, and no acknowledgment from logitech... Even within an individual footprint host, the mirrors are messed up -- the packages file will list one version, but the pool will contain a different one. So hardcoding the dns in /etc/hosts (which is the usual workaround for this kind of apt failure) doesn't help. -- msherman msherman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11966 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77518 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
[SlimDevices: Unix] libperl segfaults in squeezeboxserver on Karmic?
Does anyone get frequent segfaults in libperl from squeezeboxserver? I see this every few days -- always in a burst of four within a few minutes, like so: Apr 26 10:03:50 chunks kernel: [380781.544998] squeezeboxserve[8366]: segfault at 0 ip 7f9466b474b6 sp 7fff0b1d8690 error 4 in libperl.so.5.10.0[7f9466a36000+161000] Apr 26 10:04:20 chunks kernel: [380811.120505] squeezeboxserve[8368]: segfault at 0 ip 7f9466b474b6 sp 7fff0b1d8690 error 4 in libperl.so.5.10.0[7f9466a36000+161000] Apr 26 10:04:50 chunks kernel: [380841.017379] squeezeboxserve[8369]: segfault at 0 ip 7f9466b474b6 sp 7fff0b1d8690 error 4 in libperl.so.5.10.0[7f9466a36000+161000] Apr 26 10:05:20 chunks kernel: [380870.977321] squeezeboxserve[8370]: segfault at 0 ip 7f9466b474b6 sp 7fff0b1d8690 error 4 in libperl.so.5.10.0[7f9466a36000+161000] I'm running ubuntu karmic, with squeezeboxserver from testing (stuck at 7.5.1~30611 due to the repository mirror problems). This has been happening for a while now, at least since 7.5 came out -- I can't recall, but it may have also happened with 7.4.4. -- msherman msherman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11966 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77991 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Already known and added to the list: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=9166 No solution yet but IMHO it's not that problematic, just an annoyance in the logfiles... -- servies There are 10 kinds of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't. servies's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9496 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77991 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Wow, it's almost 2 years old. I guess I'm fixing this in my logcheck config, then. Thanks. -- msherman msherman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11966 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77991 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Ubuntu 10.04 with Squeezeboxserver 7.5.1 - nice
Thanks for the update. Sounds like it's worth making the server upgrade. I've been holding off on upgrading to 7.5 until I get my server upgraded to 10.04. Unexpectedly had to replace a drive in my RAID array last weekend so at least that is out of the way before the upgrades. Out of curiousity did you do a clean install or upgrade an existing installation? I am still mulling over whether to do the LTS to LTS upgrade or just reinstall from scratch. -- ChrisNY ChrisNY's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5004 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77971 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
