Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] LMS won't access \media folder

2017-05-12 Thread Vansloneker

Thanks for the replies.
I installed Mint 18.1
The music partition is automatically mounted by the name FLAC.
I applied the Debian Package page.

Sadly, it's the same story. LMS apparently has no access to /media and
the mounted partitions.
Again I tried several approaches, like allowing lms via the file
manager.
But no luck.

The RPI3 internal wifi is hit and miss. USB wifi sticks are normally
more reliable.

WIFI does not currently work with the Audio Kernel. Period! Don't try
it, there is nothing you can do.

The RPi3 Internal and my usb Ralink 5370 wifi work on 3.20 but both
don't work under 3.20_Audio even if enable the switch under wifi
setting. Will work with the Boss dac but need to edit the kernel config
file to enable wife... or the wifi option is the same stuff

The Allo Boss and wifi work just fine with the regular version of PCP.
The Audio Kernel has kernel config changes that prevents most wifi
devices from working.

and works rocks solid...

I was reading on another forum that wifi is disabled by default in the
3.20 Audio distro. To re-enable do I have to edit the config/add some
driver, or just enable the option in WIFI setting. I have an Allo Boss
Dac and it should work with wifi.

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce piCorePlayer 3.20

2017-05-12 Thread Stoker

Hi

I've just updated to 3.20, fresh install on new SD card. Everything
working well up until I tried to mount my usb music disk.

Using the Web interface, I selected the LMS page and then in the "Pick
from the following detected USB disks to mount" section I see the
following message:

Disk with GPT partition table Found! Install extension
"util-linux.tcz" for compatability

There's a botton to the right of this message saying "Install Support".
I clicked on it, a new page loads with the following message:

util-linux.tcz not found!

I've tried several times, with reboots and power cycles but it always
end up with the same not found message.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? Is it possible for me to
obtain util-linux.tcz from somewhere else and manually install it?

Thanks for any help
Cheers

Is not yet clear to me if is a special distribution of LMS and
Squeezelite or not, I assume yes, you are talking about GitHub. In that
case is probably better ask to the mantainer.

BTW

abc is not a valid mac address, maybe is not hurting but...

10 -10 for priority and nice gives to squeezelite higher priority over
the server (I assume server is 20 0 as usual here), if this is the case,
I could foresee some situation where it could cause problems on low
powered devices, maybe is not your case, but I'll live priority and
nice untouched and - if necessary - use command line argument in
squeezelite to just increase the output thread priority. Again, maybe is
not related to your problem, but...

Spikes on CPU usage ar often symptom of broken hw, like NIC, USB or DAC
connection, if no other you could check syslogs for that.
