Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce piCorePlayer 3.20
You are referring to https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/2016 It was just fixed in 4.9.30 I don't have the board to test, but I would think you could just upsample/downsample to a different frequency, as it appears only 48k is affected. We are waiting for new kernel drivers for the allo product before releasing the next version. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107352 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce piCorePlayer 3.20
Hi, not sure if this was already discussed before... The last build (3.20) contains a kernel which has a bug for the Hifiberry Amp+, it plays only 44.1kHz, but not 48kHz, which are both usually working. Can't find the github discussion right now. Anyways, this is fixed in newer kernels already. Could you release a quick update to this newer kernel to fix this? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoreplayer Raspberry Pi 2 to 3
Early pi2 kernels did not include support for Pi3 hardware (including the CPU itself!) but that was ages ago now, you shouldn't have issues. Good news is the one huge difference you will note is that the Pi3 is screamingly fast by comparison! :) Transcoded from Matt's brain by Tapatalk -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCoreplayer Raspberry Pi 2 to 3
It should mostly work just fine. The only issue I Know of will be if you are using a wifi dongle.it will conflict with the internal rpi3 wifi. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107532 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

[SlimDevices: Unix] piCoreplayer Raspberry Pi 2 to 3
Can I use the same SD card that currently runs piCoreplayer on a Raspberry PI 2 by switching to a Pi 3? Or do I have to re-install everything from scratch? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Newbie: no music/files on PCP3.2
Hi kidstypike, apparently we replied at the same time. All is working now, am trying to make a wifi dongle work on an additional RPI. Thanks a lot! As far as I know, STD is running on pCP based LMS. Assuming your LMS package was installed within the last 6 months. You'll will need to look in the server logs for any information. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107352 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hi kidstypike, I believe a tweaked Jivelite "now playing" screen can be created , as there are quite a few of them already. If you install Jivelite from the PCP package, you will have access to famous VU meters too. ( http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160707/9fe5bf04cb817a244382dde5985c29b1.jpg) Perhaps there is info in :http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103330-Jivelite-for-piCorePlayer on how to create one, or Ralply can help to show how this must be done. I assume your feature request is not unique, I myself would like that too, but decided not to give it my time now.
