According to your experience, I am looking for the best WiFi adapter to be used on a Rpi3, since the built in WiFi is very poor. I've not tried synctoy, but I would suspect special characters. Is your USB drive formatted FAT32? Do you have the extra file system support installed?If not install the Extra File system support, then reboot. I had the same problem. Probably the USB Audio Card became the input
event number 0 and the touchscreen the input event number 1.
To fix it, you have to change the event number from 0 to 1 in the
do_rebootstuff.sh file.

Everyone has their right price/performance compromise. As the price creeps up you're heading towards Intel NUC territory and genuine hardware x86 processors. Hell, you can pick up a Celeron based HP microserver with four 6gb sata 3.5" drive bays, two gig-e ports and a bunch of USB3 for £120.
