[SlimDevices: Unix] WiFi USB dongle
According to your experience, I am looking for the best WiFi adapter to be used on a Rpi3, since the built in WiFi is very poor. My router supports AC1200. thanks steff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107941 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Excellent! I also moved LMS cache to my USB stick, but I didn't realize that preferences would be there when a new pCP was flashed . Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] picoreplayer + usb hd
I've not tried synctoy, but I would suspect special characters. Is your USB drive formatted FAT32? Do you have the extra file system support installed? If not install the Extra File system support, then reboot. This will enable UTF-8 encoding on Fat32 devices. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107932 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Thanks, just read about the Insitu setting in the "beta" setting tab I think that saving settings to a usb drive and then have them reload on power up only works for the pCP settings, not LMS, and if so, then I would just need to remember to copy my LMS prefs folder before flashing a new image Tony SBTouch SBRadio Tony T's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34544 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107352 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] picoreplayer + usb hd
Everyone has their right price/performance compromise. As the price creeps up you're heading towards Intel NUC territory and genuine hardware x86 processors. Hell, you can pick up a Celeron based HP microserver with four 6gb sata 3.5" drive bays, two gig-e ports and a bunch of USB3 for £120. No arm server is going to beat that for function or performance or, critical for a lot of people, ease of integration. -Transcoded from Matt's brain by Tapatalk- -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs.
