Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] LMS start\stop\restart
No... radio will not show even waiting days... until I restart LMS and Jivelite I am using the software as it comes from the official distribution. Yes,,, telnetting the Rpi3, I can confirm it gest IP and DNS and gateway, etc. Yes... 1 interface at a time... it happens even with just the wired Eth and internal WiFi disabled my Internet provider is Vodafone and I have a proprietary modem\router. I can not change the configuration, so... if DHCP is enabled on a device, it gets as DNS the IP address of the router (same as gateway). In order to override the default DNS, i have to put it into the device. I already tried, but seems that using the pCP web interface I can just forse the static IP on the wired Ethernet and not on the WiFi. Question 1) How to force a static IP and DNS using the WLAN? Question 2, for SBP) what have I to write in the tweaks page to restart the LMS and to restart Jivelite? (if I just restart LMS, I can play radios from the web interface, but no radio icon on the LCD screen... I need to restart the Jivelite too) My best regards. steff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108549 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce piCorePlayer 3.20
Thanks for the dmesg tip - should have looked there myself, but Linux isn't my domain ... There were loads of "found new device" messages - repeating every few seconds. So, addition of dwc_otg.speed=1 tweak and all seems to have settled down now and mount on reboot's working now. psketch's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56555 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107352 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

So I either need to extend the pins by about 10 meters and run them through multiple walls, or go wireless. I think I can make the controls work using a wireless keyboard, but no idea how to do a display ryangodammit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67252 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105997 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

[SlimDevices: Unix] Vortexbox Player Configuration for LMS
Hi - I'm hoping that one of you knowledgeable regulars might be able to help with some playback issues on Vortexbox 2.4 on Fedora 23. I have rebuilt my VB host with ver 2.4 but cannot for the life of me get the player configured correctly from the ALSA device list and output to the async USB DAC on my Oppo BDP-105. APLAY -L shows: - Code: [root@vortexbox ~]# aplay -L null Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture) default:CARD=Device OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio Default Audio Device sysdefault:CARD=Device OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio Default Audio Device front:CARD=Device,DEV=0 OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio Front speakers surround21:CARD=Device,DEV=0 OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio 2.1 Surround output to Front and Subwoofer speakers surround40:CARD=Device,DEV=0 OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio 4.0 Surround output to Front and Rear speakers surround41:CARD=Device,DEV=0 OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio 4.1 Surround output to Front, Rear and Subwoofer speakers surround50:CARD=Device,DEV=0 OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio 5.0 Surround output to Front, Center and Rear speakers surround51:CARD=Device,DEV=0 OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio 5.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Rear and Subwoofer speakers surround71:CARD=Device,DEV=0 OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio 7.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Side, Rear and Woofer speakers iec958:CARD=Device,DEV=0 OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output and SQUEEZELITE -l gives: - Code: [root@vortexbox ~]# squeezelite -l Output devices: null - Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture) default:CARD=Device- OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - Default Audio Device sysdefault:CARD=Device - OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - Default Audio Device front:CARD=Device,DEV=0- OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - Front speakers surround21:CARD=Device,DEV=0 - OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - 2.1 Surround output to Front and Subwoofer speakers surround40:CARD=Device,DEV=0 - OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - 4.0 Surround output to Front and Rear speakers surround41:CARD=Device,DEV=0 - OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - 4.1 Surround output to Front, Rear and Subwoofer speakers surround50:CARD=Device,DEV=0 - OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - 5.0 Surround output to Front, Center and Rear speakers surround51:CARD=Device,DEV=0 - OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - 5.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Rear and Subwoofer speakers surround71:CARD=Device,DEV=0 - OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - 7.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Side, Rear and Woofer speakers iec958:CARD=Device,DEV=0 - OPPO USB Audio Device, USB Audio - IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output I was previously using a VB GUI player configuration of iec958:CARD=Device,DEV=0 even though the output was via USB. This does not work on VB2.4 nor does any other audio output device config that I've tried from the above lists. Some will pass through to LMS as expected with the correct player name but I get no sound output. I am using the same hardware as I was previously running Vortexbox 2.3. I dug out an old SSD that used to be the VB boot device and it played correctly first time using the player configured as iec958:CARD=Device,DEV=0 I have tried manually playing a WAV file using Code: aplay -v -D default /storage/vb/Alarm05.wav which shows all the file details on screen for the length of the file but again, no sound output. I previously had issues when I first started using Vortexbox where the levels would be muted in ALSAMIXER. I've checked these and they are set to 100%. I have trawled through many posts looking for tools and hints that might help me work out what the issue is but no luck so far. Is anyone able to offer any suggestions as to further troubleshooting tips? Are you by any chance running multiple servers and, if so, did you just clone a single server to multiple computers? I ran into a situation like yours several years back when I did that. Turns out each server has a unique ID and if you just clone the entire installation everything works but you get the flashing message. The solution is to stop the server, edit the configuration file to remove the UUID, then restart the server which will then generate a new ID. atrocity's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16009 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108564 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] pCP3.22 + Waveshare 3.5 + Justboom Amp Zero
Hello, I have now a running 4x20 LCD Display with a slimmer config like https://github.com/terba/slimmer/wiki/Building-a-player. But I have a litte Problem with the Buttons. The Rotary Encoder works well but when I connected the Button from the Encoder to GPIO 6 for example the PI received many pikeyd events from this Button. I looks like there is no debouncing . Did anyone know this Problem ? denhorst's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=67728 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108536 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

I dont think that you mount the CIFS Shares with a Domainname - you mount a IP? Do you have a internal DNS Server? Just give the rpi a static IP Adress with the DNS of your ISP and test again.
