Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] No sound from Allo Piano 1.1 dac with PiCore player
Which dac do you have? They don't reference a 1.1. on the web site. We have tested the Piano 2.1 dac just fine. (I run the Piano 2.1 dac on the AudioCore all the time.) The error message in dmesg you list is completely normal. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108609 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

[SlimDevices: Unix] No sound from Allo Piano 1.1 dac with PiCore player
I have a new setup with Picoreplayer 3.22 (audio version). Hardwares are Raspberry Pi 3, Allo Piano DAC 1.1. So far no sound from DAC. But sound works through RPi. Everything works within PiCoreplayer until the dac is selected in the Squeezelite setting, then Squeezelite does not start. So is it hardware or software? #Hardware: can it be the Raspberry? Are gpio test an accurate way to diagnose the gpio pin problem? Does Raspberry pi have a test available for users to check the hardware function? Does the Allo Piano 1.1 require special firmware or settings within PiCoreplayer? #Software: dmesg saids, Âpcm512x 1-004c: Failed to reset device: -127Â Anyone have the same hardwares and PiCoreplayer 3.22? And DAC sound works? All info would be appreciated. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] What's causing the screens on my players to flash?
I think mine was actually caused by a USB problem... Whilst looking for another problem, I noticed that dmesg showed that one of my USB devices was attempting to connect over and over again, then getting to a maximum (maybe 256) connections, then restarting. Looks like this restarting was causing the network to drop momentarily. Having fixed the USB problem, I've now got no more display flashing ... I moved LMS from an old RPi2 to RPi3 and copied config files from RPi2. A day or so later I spotted an SB2 flashing briefly with connection error once a minute. Later I saw this comment and when through the steps above ... and have not seen it flash since. Could be coincidence but I'm happy. Maybe unreliable network? I see something like that when the network link breaks for a short time on one of my SBs. tbali's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65336 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108564 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Is there in this forum someone that can help me\us in: 1) how to set static IP address for a WLAN connection? There is the feature in the WEB GUI, but only for wired Ethernet 2) write the command to stop\start or restart from command line for LMS? 3) eventually let me know where is located the script that starts LMS at boot steff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108549 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hello I have a quite similar problem and I already post a question and got a feedback Look here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?108544-pCP-and-DSD-native-support In other words: if you do not eneable the DSDPLayer plugin, you can not play DSD files. If you enable the DSDPlayer plugin, then pCP stream to the DAC the DSD embedding the DSD stream in PCM There is a "pacth" to be applied that enable the native streaming of DSD without ebedding in PCM but anyway it is planned in a future realese of pCP the native support of DSD Anyway there is no problem to play DSD over PCM ( DoP )... no manipulation... it is bitperfect! The problem is that not always the player\DAC support high bitrate DoP Hope it can help. steff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108593 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
