I am not sure I know what that means "You need the execution privilege for playlists as well for the user that runs lms. The temporary playlists are stored in the cache folder" The log reflects this message. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] HELP request from pCP-Team
Good initiative! Ive build a pCp setup with a 2004 LCD screen. It would have been nice when there was a step by step instruction how to do that. I managed by getting info from several (German and English) topics on this forum. I took some time for someone like me who isnt skilled in Linux, Python, etc. For my new main pCp streamer I am trying to use an OLED screen for LMS info, but its hard to get some instructions. As Im more capable designing 3D printed cases, as I did for my pCp - Hifiberry Digi+ - 20x4 LCD, and plan to do for my new setup, I would be willing to supply build plan for that. P.S. If anybody can help with getting my i2c OLED to work on pCp 3.50 send me a PM or reply in the other thread https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?104978-Connect-OLED-display-to-your-piCorePlayer-box-gt-Quad-FM4 - Windows 10 (TV + LMS server) - SB Boom - SB Receiver - O2Joggler/SqueezePlay - piCorePlayer/Rpi2/Hifiberry Digi+ willefg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68156 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109083 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] HELP request from pCP-Team
Hi Steen / team A genuine request, so I can not just ignore it ! sbp wrote: > > Please feel free to add other points that you would like a better > "how-to". > /Steen Creating a document set that wil help noobs and starters to overcome the most obvious pitfalls is useful and builds on the quality of the product. I will chip in and write some parts. As it is a niche anyway, let me write something on the setup of a cirrus logic audio card. The recent 350 version does cover it from the gui. So it is a basic getting started, for a particular card. that will cover generic parts too. Splitting it in multiple pages should be possible to reuse and update parts. sbp wrote: > > We just need a txt version and screen-shots then we can upload it to our > system. > So if you are starting on a how-to - please state so below - then others > know that this topic is covered and maybe can choose another. > /Steen Please think about a way where multiple people can add and alter the content. Building such a site with a fixed publishing staff has pros but also cons. If serious users are allowed to participate directly, it might take off much faster than when you have to edit all pages for whatever content is submitted. I recently had my first hands on encounter with a CMS and I must admit it does work OKE and we had a site up and running in a few evenings. Other improvements I would like to suggest would be in a reshuffle of the pages in the GUI. I know it has grown to this , and rewriting does take time away from the raw progress. However some parts like the great work on a built in SAMBA, LMS and equalizer might deserve their own settings page and a more logical path to direct users to these areas. A new WIFI setup part was also announced somewhere, IIRC. Howtos would need to match any such changes, so should be kept up to date And , perhaps, as most of us are always connected to the internet, help and howto pages could be linked from the actual gui pages. Keep up the good work , M-H Pi based multi-room audio system powered by PiCorePlayer(s): Pi3B with Phat-dac in a Rasptouch, 2 pi B+ with Cirrus Logic Audio Card, Pi Zero with Phat-beat , and a few other tests... Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] would like to check PiCorePlayer CPU temp
For what it's worth the Pi processor will clock itself down to avoid overheating, so it's quite safe to run fanless. And note that it's unlikely it would ever clock down so far it becomes unable to run a media streamer as it would essentially have to turn off.. -Transcoded from Matt's brain by Tapatalk- -- Hardware: 3x Touch, 1x Radio, 2x Receivers, 1 HP Microserver NAS with Debian+LMS 7.9.0 Music: ~1300 CDs, as 450 GB of 16/44k FLACs. Hit the [Refresh] button rather than the [Stop] button. The [Start] button starts a script that captures the CPU temp every minute. After a few minutes hit the [Refresh] button and you will see the graph growing. pCP web UI > Main Page > Extras (button) > Graph. The graph you see is just a test (I think ). Click the Start button, then the stop button, you should get a red dot showing the CPU temp. [SlimDevices: Unix] would like to check PiCorePlayer CPU temp
Hello All, my Raspi case came with a fan, which is very quiet, to be honest, but is audible nonetheless. If it's not needed for PiCorePlayer, I'd like to remove it. I would like to see the CPU temp on my PiCorePlayer, but I cannot find lm-sensors in the PCP repository. Maybe the library has a different name? thanks, ciao, -Gian town: Musical Fidelity Dr.Thomas, Preamp II, Infinity 7K, Squeezebox Classic (2), Squeezebox Radio, Raspberry Pi 2 with HiFiBerry, Ubuntu 18.4 LTS server country: Musical Fidelity A-5, Infinity Renaissance 90, Musical Fidelity A120, Sonus Faber Concertino, Squeezebox Classic, SB Touch, Raspberry Pi 2 with HiFiBerry, Raspberry Pi 3 server with Debian Jessie on Arm7 gian's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6702 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109084 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
