Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Google Drive mounted with google-drive-ocamlfuse

I believe most fuse implementations support the usual POSIX command set
so in fact it's likely the necessary seek commands are available.

Technically yes, I'd expect them to work. But the full file might need
to be downloaded first in order to seek in it. Which means download
1.5TB on any scan...

After adjusting in alsamixer and "escaping" do you save the setting?

Code:

sudo alsactl store

  to save alsa settings.

I must have been tired ... Philippe's code turns a UPnP Renderer into
something that LMS can control.
So you are right - it would not make LMS players etc appear in a UPnP
Control Point.

FUSE file systems are by default not visible to other users. Pass the
allow_other option when mounting (see man mount.fuse for details). Or
mount as squeezebox user.

Using the DAC in my PM7005 amplifier, alsamixer shows the default PCM
Playback level as maximum, 0.00dB, coloured red on the slider graphic.

I can, of course, adjust this downwards (all the way to -127dB), but I
don't hear any subjective difference in audio level. What, if anything,
is this actually adjusting?

Is maximum here actually a 'good thing' for a digital output?

Quite right - silly mistake by me. Shairport emulates Airport and
nothing to do with UPnP.

Hi kurairaito,

It does look like the "=" is a problem. You can manually generate your
psk passphase using the following method.

Note: Use the psk generated passphase without quotes.

Code:

$ wpa_passphrase myssid
  # reading passphrase from stdin
  J18>nt0M-^9o:v,STDB+k1!807W>PW*tS5^C=v:JUY~(3udKJw?Rj?&W+h8 oGMU
  network={
  ssid="myssid"
  #psk="J18>nt0M-^9o:v,STDB+k1!807W>PW*tS5^C=v:JUY~(3udKJw?Rj?&W+h8 oGM"
  psk=aaa6774909bbf4d115a01861ca63ccdf6a857bd0c969dbda1f324a2804dd221a
  }

Neither of these plugins cause LMS to appear as a renderer in an Android
DLNA app.

Do you mean that pCP Shairport will assist with UPNP/DLNA? Isn't it
just for Airplay?

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 4.0.0

2018-09-29 Thread kurairaito

Hi, this player is AMAZING and pretty well integrated in my
environment.

I use it on a Raspberry pi 3 B+ and I have fond a bug. My Wifi password
is something like
> J18>nt0M-^9o:v,STDB+k1!807W>PW*tS5^C=v:JUY~(3udKJw?Rj?&W+h8oGMU
and when I enter it in the wifi configuration panel, it is transformed
into
> v:JUY~(3udKJw?Rj?&W+h8oGMU

so everything before the = sign dissapear and when I look into the
/usr/local/etc/pcp/wpa_supplicant.conf file I get the wrong password
with also a malformed file ex :

Code:

tc@piCorePlayer:~$ sudo cat /usr/local/etc/pcp/wpa_supplicant.conf
  # Maintained by piCorePlayer
  ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
  ctrl_interface_group=staff
  country=FR
  update_config=1

  network={
#enc_ssid="MYSSID"
ssid="MYSSID"
psk=v:JUY~(3udKJw?Rj?&W+h8oGMU" psk
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
auth_alg=OPEN
  }

It is missing a double quote plus the beginning of the password on the
psk line.

Still works fine when used with wires.
