Wireless fired up and the IP address stayed on the RPi screen making it simple to point a browser at pCp and configure. Now to add soundcheck's tweaks and lower the power draw as the RPi internal WiFi means there is no need for a USB dongle. Thank you. A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 4.0.0
If you have a kernel name ending with "_v7" you normally need to use the related extensions with _v7 in the name. Your issue then would be the 0 size package. Just yesterday I reported (offline) to Paul that I have _v7 and non-v7 kernel packages on the system (with audiokernel). It's kind of confusing. :::' my audioblog - latest series: RaspBerry PI - \"The Audio Engine\" ' (http://soundcheck-audio.blogspot.com)::: soundcheck's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34383 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109404 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

To expand on Greg's comment, the onboot.lst file is on the second partition (ext4) so to do this offline you need a computer that can read and edit files on that partition type. -or- plug in a monitor and usb keyboard. I agree with Greg, we can make an easy way to do this from the fat partition, that way all the windows users aren't left out of the ease. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. While testing, I noticed hot-swapping USB ethernet killed USB wireless. I haven't investigated why the Web GUI doesn't update onboot.lst for you. USB networking has popped up a couple of times in the last week or two. I was thinking of adding a usbnet bootcode or maybe a usbnet file in the boot directory to trigger net-usb-KERNEL.tcz be added to onboot.lst. At the moment you need smeo kind of network access before you can activate it, unless you plug the SD card into another Linux box and edit onboot.lst. regards Greg Greg Erskine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109404 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Starting piCorePlayer without on screen console-messages possible?
The end of /opt/bootlocal.sh calls /pcp_startup.sh Code: /home/tc/www/cgi-bin/pcp_startup.sh 2>&1 | tee -a /var/log/pcp_boot.log So - if you edit that to send output directly to /var/log/pcp_boot.log rather than to tee then it might well do what you want. perhaps Code: /home/tc/www/cgi-bin/pcp_startup.sh > /var/log/pcp_boot.log 2>&1 and then remember to do it again each time you update. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 4.0.0
@Ralphy I am wondering if you could also make pcp-xxx-dev extensions for the sl dependencies/libs available that you are providing, to be able to build a custom-squeezelite. Until now I used the tinycore extensions. That of course also works. Though I guess you use more up2date or patched sources for your pcp extensions. I'd appreciate it. What pins on the 40 pin header are you connecting to Whooops :-) I think it is BCM26 & BCM16 - but weirdly these are not connected to the amp (there aren't even solder-points!).
