Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] 'Official' docker container for LMS?

Hmm - it seems that this week something changed with the URLs of the
packages changed. I do not get the URL of the last build via
http://www.mysqueezebox.com/update/?version=${VERSION}=1=1=deb
anymore - does anyone have some infos on this?

Ok, that should work again. Can you confirm?

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Picore and AudioInjector

The drivers are there, but we have never added menu support for
audioinjector. Mainly because I've never researched the card.

You should be able to manually add the overlay to config.txt.

just pushed updates to the repo, minor release with a few optimizations
and yes - another egg

starting work on the Audiophonics mods next, likely will mean a slight
divergence given the OLED is 256x64 and supports greyscale - benefit
there is more real estate so more readability, interpolation for
smoother graphics and transitions

so lots of potential rework, I'll look to keep in a single project with
separate builds and will provide standalone binaries for supported
flavors

I assembled the new Audiophonics DAC in its custom case yesterday
evening and its a beaut, no cooling for the pi 4 so I'll be modding the
case to fit at minimum a single fan and the appropriate venting, CAD/CAM
files will be provided in the base folder of the repo. You can find the
files for the small case mod there already.

Oops... I'm sorry, that was me: I thought that there was little need for
the all platforms all in one .deb any more, as we had packages for ARM,
i386 and x86_64 available. These obviously are each only a fraction of
the full file's size, thus more suitable for most users.

I guess you want to stick with it to support as many platforms as
possible in one image? As you're not the first to complain about this I
could revert that change and bring them back (they're built anyway, just
not listed and used in the update checker).

It used to be that the link above (after inserting the version) returned
a link to the latest build of that version. It currently only works for
7.9.4 and 8.0 - not for 7.9.3 or 7.9.2.

[SlimDevices: Unix] Picore and AudioInjector

2020-08-27 Thread thatbaldguy

Brand new to PiCorePlayer, but far from brand new from using Pi's.

In a search to find a way to distribute audio and more specifically
output from a turntable throughout my house, I stumbled across the
audioinjector stereo and the PiCorePlayer.

Fresh install on a Pi3, have also installed LMS through PCP.

For the life of me, I can not seem to find how to enable my
AudioInjector hat. I saw in a post from a few years ago that the file
is there, and have verified through ssh that I have a file here.
/usr/local/lib/modules/4.19.122-pcpCore_v7/kernel/sound/soc/bcm/snd-soc-audioinjector-pi-soundcard.kosnd-soc-audioinjector-pi-soundcard.ko

But I can not find it in a drop down list for audio output (has both in
and out) and the drop down list is empty for inputs on the tweak tab. I
have looked in all three repositories and have spent the better part of
the morning looking on this and many other forums to avoid the "Go do a
search ya noob".I have not dove into configuration files, but am not
against doing that. Just need a touch of guidance

TIA!

7.9.3 is a released version now and there's a new nightly branch 7.9.4.

In the light of the new LMS releases I will focus on 7.9.3 and 8.0 only.
I don't think it is necessary to keep the other versions anymore.

Hi Paul, thanks for your response. Here are the throughput results
coming from the Pi that is the LMS Server

*From the Server
*-Test Complete. Summary Results:
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate Jitter

Its worth noting that after reserving the IP for the LMS server and
changing the CPU governer to performance, the pi with LMS on it is
seeming more stable and i havent noticed the drop outs like I was
experiecing previously. The only other change was the turn off shairport
on Picoreplayer and instead install the shairtunes plugin on LMS.

I have set to scan for new music at 4 in the morning every day. So I

I would also like to tweak that a little bit to show my classical music
tags in a better way. Could anyone help me to understand which
properties (tags) can be read here instead:

(NowPlayingApplet.lua, line 1976):

Code:

function _extractTrackInfo(self, _track)
if _track.track then
local returnTable = {}
table.insert(returnTable, _track.track)
table.insert(returnTable, _track.artist)
table.insert(returnTable, _track.album)
return returnTable
else
return _track.text or "\n\n\n"
end
  end

I would love to read composer and conductor tag here. Is that possible?
I wasn't able to find the definition of this _track object to understand
that better.
