I have toyed around with 'this one'
(https://www.renetec.io/pages/getting-started-with-pyxian-on-raspberry-pi)
a bit and found it working very smoothly with Material. Would be
interesting to see if I could get Squeezelite running on there to make a
nice touchscreen player.

it is not the best feature. As an end user I would be perfectly happy if
accessing the LMS settings from the PcP page would just go to the
classic or default skin in stead of to Material.

I've committed a change which should re-direct any skin's
/settings/index.html to Default, if it didn't provide its own. This
should hopefully resolve this issue.

What do you consider "the next version"? It is in the 8.1.2 (stable) and
8.2.0 images.

Another problem that I am having is when I dockerized LMS 8.1.1 and
using ipeng I do not see the Spotify (Icon/link) that appears to me in
each folder. Is this an iPeng problem?

I'm sorry, no idea.

Sure, but Material is a bit different from other skins (it's more a
wrapper than a skin). Also, even though I think Material is great (and I
assume the majority of users are on that), the server settings part of
it is not the best feature. As an end user I would be perfectly happy if
accessing the LMS settings from the PcP page would just go to the
classic or default skin in stead of to Material.

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] squeezelite / PulseAudio / Debian

2021-05-20 Thread adamf663

I set up a headless server using the following config:

loginctl enable-linger kodi # kodi is the userid I used for all
multimedia
mkdir .config/systemd

file .config/systemd/squeezelite.service:
[Unit]
Description=Squeezelite
Wants=dbus.socket
After=dbus.socket

[Service]
ExecPre=xset s off
ExecStart=/usr/bin/squeezelite -s server.homenet
Restart=always

[Install]
WantedBy=default.target

There is a similar control file for kodi.
nodm is set to autologin to the kodi user.

systemctl --user enable squeezelite
systemctl --user start squeezelite

I used pavucontrol to initially set pulse to use the correct output
(hdmi in my case).

Hi Michael:

Thank you very much.

Anyone with ipeng...? iPeng developer pippin is lately off.

Regards.

That's more of a Material (or LMS...) issue. /settings/index.html is
only available in Default. I should probably add something.

But /default/settings/index.html should always work, right?

No, that's exactly what is missing.
