Another question: in the past the old Audio Optimized version was not suggested with WiFi. What about the new Real Time Kernel one? Moreover and generally speaking, when is the new one suggested? Today I am running 3.22 + WiFi + USB DAC Teac UD-503, playing 24/384 FLAC without any issue. steff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109298 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Well... I know quite well what a real time kernel is. You could eventually say: ask to google, search the forum, etc. and this would be acceptable. Go back to my question: I was not asking what is a real time kernel system, rather I was asking the differences (if any) versus the "old" Audio Optimized version. If you don't know what a RT kernel is.then you probably don't need use it. https://rt.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions I will always suggest the standard version of pCP.If you want to tweak and tune, then try the RT version. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. [SlimDevices: Unix] pCP 4 Real Time Kernel vs pCP 3 Audio Optimized
I am still running on a Rpi3 the "old" 3.22 version since it is great. I never used the Audio Optimize version before because of issues with Rpi3 WiFi What is the difference between the old Audio Optimized and the new Real Time Kernel? When is suggested the standard and when the Real Time Kernel? Thanks a lot. steff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66870 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109298 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
