The win settings app only adds a few things like "run as a service" that's irrelevant in Linux as it always runs a "service" daemon with its own user ( you figure when file permissions gets you ) and always autostart so you don't need tray to do that. Tray icon in windows also contains a web browser link to loclahost aka 127.0.0.1 but just make our own bookmark. And the win control panel also have "clear cache" but you can just go to the cache folder and delete stuff yourself . There are various docker builds for LMS, but you need to have done the hard work of getting an OS running with docker first. You don't need many builds, just an i386 build would do, as it's to hit the sweet spot of people having issues with the windows on x86 case. People won't want to virtualise on ARM. Agree that maintenance would be a pain. This is perl 5, version 22, subversion 2 (v5.22.2) built for i686-linux-gnu-thread-multi-64int (with 67 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail) You'll need 7.9, 7.8 does not support this Perl version. This is perl 5, version 24, subversion 1 (v5.24.1) built for x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi (with 60 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail) Is this version supported ? Thanks ! Now it is. I added the binaries a few minutes ago. Unfortunately our build system is gone for the Thanksgiving weekend... and I'm not sure it's ever coming back :-(. I might need to replace it. So... if you can't wait, and feel comfortable doing some command line work, you'd find the files here: https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/tree/public/7.9/CPAN/arch/5.24 You'd have to put them somewhere below /usr/share/squeezeboxserver or the like. Most of the users didnt read any Howto, many didnt update their Versions and run stuff like 7.7. And tbh its a dumb idea to change the name right now (think of 7.9 isnt "logitech" any more).. Hi, 1st of all forget all the x windows related answers. 2nd do a search for wiki.slimdevices.com for debian/ubuntu 3rd remember debian & Ubuntu removed sysint (because of systemd) and the how on the wiki is related to sysinit. And last but not least what kind of Lubuntu you are using = Jessie should be fine - the testing strech has another perl on board. Check the output for your server log file - should be /var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log. Is there anything about perl?
