Please find the below details. *Title: DB2 DBA Consultant* *Location: Beaverton, OR**Contact/ CTH* *Must have skills:*· At least 5 years of Database Administration experience with DB2 for z/OS · z/OS v1.7 or greater · DB2 v8 for z/OS experience doing an upgrade to DB2 v9 or v10 from v8 · DB2 utilities (load, unload, image copy, recover, online reorg, etc.) · CA-Unicenter tools, especially RC/Migrator, Detector, Database Analyzer Insight · Data Propagator v8.2 (replication on the mainframe only) · Experience coding REXX, CLIST, JCL COBOL · Oracle Transparent Gateway for DB2 · ISPF environment· Physical and logical design, performance monitoring, maintenance, query analysis, optimization, backup and recovery, replication and migration. · Excellent communication, interpersonal, technical skills and can easily adapt to new environments. · Ability to work independently or as an effective team player · Competent and experienced in using IBM utilities (IDCAMS, IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, etc.) , Omegamon and other third party tools like CA/DB2 tools (CA-Unicenter) *· DB2 DBA (DB2 LUW)* oDB2 LUW v10.5 for Linux. oExperience installing DB2 LUW software applying Fix Packs, patches, etc. o RHEL 6.0 - Linux shell scripting. Please find the below details. *Position: * *DB2 DBA Consultant**Location: * *Beaverton, OR**Duration:** 6+ months* *Job Description:*• Write SQL code and fine tune long running objects. • Design and deploy object in DB2 database • Support and Maintenance of Production, Development, Quality and Integration environment databases • Data refresh from one environment to another • Restoration of databases from online and offline backups • Redirected Restore of databases from online and offline backups • Deploying DDL changes requested by development teams. • Troubleshooting production database and performance issues. • Creating PMR;s with IBM and work with IBM support. • Involve in day to day database administration tasks like running reorg’s, runstats, export, load, taking snapshots, checking memory utilization, CPU Utilization, backup and restores etc. • Automations, Creating tools, Implementing Best Practices • Data Management, Space Management, Capacity Management, Space Management • HADR setup and Troubleshooting knowledge • Data Security, User Management, Performance Tuning • Able to Co-ordinate with both Onsite Offshore Team • Migrations • Monitoring the databases for any issues and configuring the appropriate alerts. • having knowledge on Migration from DB2 Database to Oracle using Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Transparent Gateway tools will be helpful. • Involved in day to day database administration tasks like checking the memory, IOSTAT, VMSTAT, TOPAS, CPU Utilization, Bottlenecks etc • Improve concurrency with new isolation level • Compression of Tables • Apply database patches and work on Upgrades Thanks and regards, Vinay Kumar Sr. Recruitment Executive Software Folks Inc.
