Location :   Salt Lake city – UT.

Duration:   6 months.



*Job Description:*

The Developer is responsible for web development for the travel/airline
industry on Client’s Navitaire group .NET-based reservation system. This
person will be responsible for assisting clients in optimizing their
website for optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have expert
knowledge of HTML/HTML 5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript/DOM 2 Style coding, Image
creation and optimization, and web optimization methods like YSlow and
PageSpeed.



In addition this developer may also be involved in projects that will
require maintenance, enhancement and/or development work of complex modules
and those that interface with other applications related to the Navitaire
reservation system. This person will report to the Navitaire Professional
Services team manager. Travel to various client offices around the world
required (25%).



*Skills Required:*

1. 3+ years Microsoft .Net C# applications and ASP.Net web forms and/or
ASP.Net MVC applications. Razor experience is a plus.

2. XML and XSLT experience preferred.

3. Ability to hand-code semantic markup and tableless designs as well as
Web Standards and validation methods.

4. Knowledge of cross-browser issues for all front-end technologies.

5. Experience with HTML 5 and CSS 3 and methods to make older browsers
backwards compatible.

6. Knowledge of JavaScript libraries like JQuery and DOM 2 style coding.

7. Familiarity with optimization tools like YSlow, PageSpeed, Smush.it,
PunyPNG, Fiddler, Sprite Generator.

8. Experience optimizing images and usage of different formats.

9. Experience generating pixel-perfect web pages from high-fidelity
mock-ups using Photoshop/Fireworks.

10. Ability to talk with customers to help define and manage all steps of a
project.

11. Ability to multi-task, self-start and do work without consistent
supervision
