Job Description

The Business Analyst as a member of a core Project Team will report to the
IT PM and must be familiar with general project management, software
development and/or application implementation methodologies. Using
recognized business analysis toolsets (as those defined by the
International Institute of Business Analysis in their body of knowledge)
shall demonstrate  in all assignments appropriate competencies in leading,
researching, facilitating documenting and presenting findings or
alternative approaches within the initiation phase (scoping) of the project.



The BA will serve as a liaison with Business end users and IT and should
possess excellent communication skills. In working with the business to
analyze and document business requirements and model the current As-Is and
help define the future “To-Be” processes/people/technology specifications.
It will be key for the BA to adhere to process driven methodologies with
expertise in researching today’s best solutions/life cycle practices.

Working in a highly collaborative environment, the BA must maintain insight
into all new changes impacting the business and/or IT. The BA must be
experienced in meeting deadlines, through the application of appropriate
scope management and the use of a desired level of analysis, documentation
and uses of facilitation skills the BA is a key Project Team member.

The BA is responsible for documenting all business, application and system
scenarios and identify the stakeholders (systems/people) impacted. The BA
should be familiar with standard functional and process decomposition
techniques and able to model business processes and generate scenarios for
the technology which may include functionality and security testing.



Experience and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree w/ major in computer science, business or
related field

· 3 yrs. relevant experience

· Strong understanding of testing methodologies for functional,
systems, integration and UAT

· Able to foster a collaborative work environment and demonstrate
leadership skills

· Problem-solving, analytical and time management sills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· History of professional growth as evidenced by the acquisition of
professional development & certifications. See examples:

Overall Responsibilities

The role of the Systems Analyst is to assist and support product ownership
on individual projects to conduct business analysis, write user stories and
user acceptance criteria, communicate to all stakeholders, and follow user
stories through the SDLC. They are expected to play a role in a wide range
of work assignments that may include requirements collection, data
collection, quantitative analysis, report design, report drafting, and
preparation of various materials for client presentations



Required Experience



Experience in writing system requirements documents based on business
requirements.

Experience in identifying impacts to the system based on business
requirements changes

Experience in reviewing detailed test scripts for System, Integration, and
User Acceptance Test Phases.

Effectively communicate to developers and testers the scope, purpose,
requirements and the solution.

Extensive skill in effective verbal and written communications with other
computer professionals and clients.

Extensive skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete
multiple assignments without compromising accuracy.

Experience working in Agile SDLC environment

Full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and
development.

Exceptional organizational / time management abilities with superior
attention to detail

Ability to work in a team environment and independently

Ability to prioritize work in a team/sprint environment.

Ability to prioritize work based on SDLC dependencies.

Ability to communicate technical subjects to a business audience and
business subjects to a technical audience.



Essential Qualities and Skills



Working knowledge of business analysis methodology and software development
lifecycle.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong Microsoft Office applications skills.

Commitment to exceptional client service.

Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset.

Dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges presented by clients and
management.

Ability to interact with various levels of management and with clients.

Proven ability to take initiative to move daily work forward.

Able to follow, critically evaluate, and improve upon current processes.

Excellent business writing skills and ability to make presentations to
various audiences.

Medical billing and claiming experience

State Government contracting environments

High level SQL experience
