Job Description: * * * * Minimum 7-10 years of experience as Sybase DBA; Experience in BFSI preferred. Roles and Responsibilities Include: As a Sybase database administrator. - Provide day-today DB support and will interact with customers on a daily basis. - Provide on-call coverage once up to speed on the environment. - Primary objective will be to support the Sybase environment within the Prime Services area. - Expected to provide secondary Sybase support for the Cash EQ's area. - Support of major initiatives such as isolation tests, power downs and infrastructure weekends will also be expected. REQUIRED SKILLS - Sybase 12.5 and above - Basic understanding of replication - Good knowledge of database creation, log segments, disk initialization, disk mirroring, taking backups of databases and restoring in case of failure.
