Contract Position: *Lead SQL Server DBA/Architect*
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 6 months
Interview: Phone+Skype
End Client: State Client of SC
*DUTIES/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED*
· Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases.
· Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage,
maintenance, access and security administration.
· Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems,
configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data
models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and
warehousing requirements.
· This position optimizes database access and
allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration,
database performance and cost.
· This senior expert level position requires experience with
planning, managing, and troubleshooting projects and systems that utilize
different database structures and technologies within an enterprise
environment.
· Able to work on complex technology and operational tasks and
issues with both technical and non-technical staff.
· Able to utilize project management and technology systems life
cycle methodologies.
· Able to conduct assessments, determine options, and develop
action plans to integrate numerous different applications and technology
systems to meet operational requirements.
· Able to multi-task and communicate effectively both in written
and verbal forms
· Experience with SQL Server 2008R2 and higher versions required.
· Certifications a plus
· Over 9 years of experience required
