Job Description Performs on site delivery and implementation of Red Hat products Will have a diverse understanding of Enterprise Open Source and Linux and experience applying those technologies. The engineer is expected to have strong technical and communication skills. Experience with enterprise wide deployments, a record of successful delivery of projects. They focus on delivering quality work resulting in positive customer satisfaction, while building breadth and depth of technical expertise in one or more Red Hat technologies. Gain an understanding of customer's infrastructure & business issues and can make recommendations appropriate to customer's environment/project needs. Primary Responsibilities: -Position has responsibilities for task coordination and management. -Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. -Demonstrates considerable judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. -Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. -Bring innovative ideas enthusiasm and energy to the team. -Have excellent technical skills in Linux system configuration and administration that includes some or all of these areas. -Ability to constantly learn about new technologies and apply those concepts to customers’ needs Qualifications: • 3+ years working in a Consultant or related role • -Advanced knowledge of Linux kernel internals, including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, bug fix updates and core builds. • -Experienced implementing Virtualization technologies in an enterprise setting. • -Experience with enterprise wide deployments. • -Knowledgeable on Open Source technologies and the Open Source Community. • -Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics (status) of key projects to required stakeholders and diverse audiences (technical and business). • -Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. • -Excellent project management, time management and planning skills. • -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • -Excellent interpersonal skills and customer management skills. • -Strong Client Management skills. • -Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) • - Ability to be on call, perform night shift and/or weekend shift duties on an emergency basis • - Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) and/or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or ability to complete within 60 days of hire.
