*Job Title: SQL DBA* *Job Location: Mahwah, NJ* *Explanation for Position*: · The SQL Server DBA Tech Specialist has more than 5 years of experience administering enterprise level SQL Server databases. · He/She interacts with functional representatives, business analysts, database analysts, and application development project teams to support the effective storage and retrieval of data in SQL Server databases. · He/She demonstrates a significant understanding and analysis of applications’ transformation of data into business information. · The DBA Tech Specialist drives consistency, drafts and maintains standards and procedures for database environments to ensure enterprise compliance. · He/She implements and maintains the enterprise’s production and development databases. *Details of Position:* · The SQL Server DBA Tech Specialist investigates complex problems, monitors performance, contributes to back-up and recovery procedures, and configures and installs SQL Server database software. · He/She works with the development team to design database schemas. · Experience installing and supporting SQL Server 2005, 2008, and 2012 is required. · Knowledge of SQL Server 2014 and 2016 preferred. · Additional experience preferred with Always On, DB mirroring, replication, clustered environments, performance tuning and troubleshooting. *Management Skills:* · Good written and oral communication skills.
