Our client has a 12+ month contract in Sacramento, CA for a *Senior Tuxedo Administrator*. The Senior Tuxedo Administrator applies deep technical expertise in Tuxedo and other middleware technologies, to the design, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of our clients middleware infrastructure. *Job Responsibilities:* • Troubleshoots and resolves Tuxedo issues across development, testing, and production environments. • Performs deployments of custom and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) code/software. • Installs, configures, and manages clustered Tuxedo applications located in HP Data Centers, working with internal service groups as required to ensure system availability and uptime meet project requirements. • Develops scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities. • Analyzes monitoring results to produce and implement recommendations for improving performance and operational efficiency of middleware components. • Works with our client’s Architects on issues related to middleware infrastructure design and architecture, including clustering and scalability, and assists with Proof Of Concept testing. • Works with peers within and beyond the Middleware team to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and develop & implement new solutions. • As needed, assists with the development of white papers, proposals, deliverables, and other documentation. *Required Experience & Skills:* • 3-5 years of Tuxedo Server administration experience in a large production environment. • Ability to work night and weekend shifts as needed. • Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution. • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills. • Excellent working knowledge of UNIX server technologies, including RHEL. • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. • Familiarity with SDLC and/or other systems development methodologies. • Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise. • Strong Working knowledge of: Database technologies, preferably Oracle; Local and Wide area networking technologies; Storage technologies including SAN. *Desired Experience & Skills: * • Experience with Corticon Business Rules Engine, WebLogic, WebSphere, ADF Runtime 11.1.x, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g/12c, LDAP services, SAP Business Objects Administration, F5 Load Balancers, VMWare and Windows Server technologies or equivalents. • Experience installing and administering Commercial Off The Shelf tools packages such as CA Service Desk, IBM Rational ClearQuest, and SharePoint. • 3-5 years of experience working in an outsourced/managed services environment. • Experience developing project plans and work breakdown structures.
