Job Title: QA Test Engineer

Location: Brooklyn Park MN

Duration: 6+ Months/Contract

*Interview: Phone and Skype*

*No H1B(OPT will be fine)*

*Highly prefer candidates from pharmaceutical, medical devices, healthcare
solutions*

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*

1) Perform critical evaluation of software requirements, designs, and
implementation. Identify design weakness and come up with effective test
coverage accordingly.
2) Provide early technical feedback to developers and cross functional team
members.
3) Develop test strategy to cover software designs by using various testing
methodologies like white box testing and unit testing.
4) Perform unit testing, integration testing, and other testing to
thoroughly test out software design and implementation.
5) Identify defects during the daily testing activities and manage the
defect fixing cycle until they are resolved.
6) Participate in development and validation of in-house or Off-the-Shelf
testing tools.
*Qualifications*:

1) Ability to work as a collaborative team member.
2) Good communication skills with other team members (including cross
functional team). Ability to discuss encountered technical or project
management issues, both verbally and in written form
3) Be passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on
behalf of good processes and best practices.
4) Firm understanding of C++ development, including pointers, Template
classes, best C++ practices, design patterns, etc.
5) A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of
software engineering (e.g., SDLC, IEC 62304, CMMI, Agile).
6) Experience with embedded or application software development.
7) Experience with test regression.
8) Desired: Experience with unit tests tools / techniques (e.g. VectorCAST
/ LDRA) is strongly preferred
9) Desired: Experience with medical device software engineering disciplines
(e.g., software development environments, configuration management tools,
code inspection techniques and tools, testing methods and test management
tools).
*Background and/or Experience*:

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Software Engineering or related field and 3 – 5-year related experience.

•Review Functional Specs, Create Functional Test Plans,
Develop Test Cases, Identify Test data, Manage test executions and report
defects
•Be able to track testing requirements, manage testing
timelines and provide periodic testing updates to senior management

•Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of QA

•Be able to demonstrate skills in performing functional

   - QA and Testing on video technologies – Cisco Telepresence, Tandberg
   video conferencing, Video over IP, SIP etc.
   - Working in this team, your primary role will be as a QA/Testing
   engineer.
   - Support on remedy/email for Cisco Telepresence conferencing calls and
   meetings.
   - Help team release newer versions of product
   - Carry out required testing and provide signoff.
   - Work collaboratively with teammates on projects.
   - Using your networking and engineering skills, analyse projects to
   determine how you can help the support the customer.
   - Troubleshoot user issues

 * Experience*

   - 5+ years of experience and expertise in QA and Testing

   - Content Delivery Network experience
   - Experience in Video Technologies
   - SQL experience in a Pl/sql or postgres.

   - Good investigating and problem solving skills
   - Good Analytic skills
