I really appreciate if you would let me know your interest. *Position: SQL DBALocation: Irving, TX (Local Only)Duration: 6 Months CTH* *Note: Need only Local candidates and GC or USC !!* *Description*: - Analyzes current database information and recommends methods to improve performance of the database. - Provides support and implements migrations across environments. - Develops tests and executes diagnostics and disaster recovery plans in order to safeguard the integrity of the database. Under general direction of the designated Manager evaluates and designs existing or proposed systems to structure and access databases. Implements and integrates new information into existing systems or recommends installation of new systems. 1. Performance tunes and optimizes TSql Code and SSIS packages. 2. Provides assistance and feedback to developers on best practices and coding standards for TSql and SSIS packages. 3. Participates in database and schema design. 4. Implements logical data models to physical structures on SQL Server. 5. Analyzes current database information and recommends methods to improve performance of the database. 6. Provides technical expertise and ongoing education for all Client/Server related software. 7. Supports all Client/Server database environments. 8. Installs necessary triggers stored procedures and business logic. 9. Performs database backup and recovery. 10. Prepares and manages multiple server environments. 11. Provides support and implements migrations across environments. 12. Manages and troubleshoots SQL server in a clustered environment. 13. Develops tests and executes diagnostics and disaster recovery plans in order to safeguard the integrity of the database. 14. Creates databases for building and testing the applications; investigates and corrects problems relative to these databases. 15. May provide 24 hour on-call production support. 16. Performs related duties as assigned. Requires some training in fields such as business administration accountancy sales marketing computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor’s Degree program technical vocational training or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years directly related and progressively responsible experience; experience with DB2 ESSbase and DW design is preferred. 1. Strong knowledge of TSql - stored procedures, triggers, etc and SSIS Packages. 2. Strong performance tuning and code optimization skills. 3. Ability to prepare and implement database standards and procedures across multiple environments 4. Good analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions 5. Demonstrated knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures 6. Good interpersonal skills; effective team player 7. Exceptional customer service skills 8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing 9. Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines 10.
