*Platform Support Engineer:*

   - Gain solid understanding of the business process, workflows and data.


   - Establish close partnership with the business.


   - Work with project managers during scoping and requirements sessions.


   - Gather requirements and design and deploy functionality to meet
   business requirements.


   - Assist in technical specifications and other deliverable documents.


   - Develop test cases and plans to complete the unit testing.


   - Provide on-call support for production applications.


   - Develop a deep understanding of applications and integration and bring
   issues to resolution.


   - Monitor application performance and improve response times.


   - Configure application for the best performance.


   - Plan for and apply application software patches.


   - Become subject-matter expert (SME) on the software packages you are
   assigned to support.



   - Bachelor's degree in computer science.


   - 3 years experience supporting packaged applications.


   - 2 years hands-on experience administering JBoss Application Server
   with installation, support, analysis of logs and performance tuning.


   - Excellent knowledge of installing and supporting Red Hat Linux.
   Version 7.2*preferred.*


   - Strong understanding of networking and security concepts.


   - Working knowledge of SQL, WebSphere, MQ and Oracle.


   - Understanding of network standards, such as DHCP, DNS, SSL, TCP, UDP,
   IP, QOS and ICMP.


   - Understanding of network hardware, including switches, routers, access
   points and basic network troubleshooting.


   - Experience with shell scripting to automate tasks.


   - Experience with eXtremeScale Object Grid for caching, Cloud (IaaS or
   PaaS), Manhattan WMOS and AIX and IBM Power hardware* a plus.*


   - Experience using a code deployment tool, such as UrbanCode, Chef or
   Docker Containers *a plus.*


   - Experience and/or familiarity with other technologies, such as RESTful
   over HTTP.


   - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


   - Able to collaborate effectively and excel in a team environment.

*Requirements*:

. Extensive WebLogic Administration experience utilizing versions (8.x,
9.x, 10.x, 11.x, 12.x)
. Strong JBOSS Administration experience (clustering  performance tuning)
. Knowledgeable in Apache, Tomcat, IIs, and iPlanet Web Server
administration
. Oracle and TIBCO experience is a big plus
. Experience with JDBC, JMS, WebServices, Security standards, LDAP, SSL is
important
. Strong UNIX / Linux background with solid Shell Scripting skills
. Extensive knowledge of the JVM (JDK 1.4, 5 and 6)
. Good knowledge of multi-tiered application environments (Web, App and DB
connectivity)
. Strong experience working in clustered environments
. Knowledge of general Enterprise system management software, performance
analysis, capacity planning, system  data security, backup  recovery,
networking communications
. Must be available for frequent after hours extended support to meet
project deadlines; Also there are regularly scheduled weekly overnight
maintenance activities
. Strong communications skills (both verbal  written)
