*Position: *Senior Java Architect Role** *Location: *Pleasanton, CA** *Duration: *12+ month contract minimum** *Interview Process: *OPEN* – F2F *** IT Architect w/ Claims experience to lead other software engineers to architect, design, integrate, and implement claims management products. This candidate will support the IT Claims system group and is expected to understand the goals & objectives of the group, provide strategic recommendations, and act as a Technical Lead to those in the group. *Tasks:*** The tasks for the IT Architect include, but are not limited to, the following: • Analyze and understand the current claims lifecycle from creation through closure • Migrate the current claims system to a web based architecture • Reverse engineer Oracle Forms based code and document design for migration • Convert Oracle Reports to a web based reporting platform • Lead other software engineers to design and implement well-integrated products • Define and evolve the architecture for the system • Expert in all technical aspects of the product • Develop creative solutions and write technical design & architecture documents • Cross-train developers on product features that are implemented • Perform hands-on software design and development in Java, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Database • Develop and execute unit tests for product components • Establish architectural standards and best practices • Work closely with management to determine feasibility of product features • Establish standards and Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback *Technical Skills and Experience:*** The Consultant resource shall possess the following qualifications: • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree • 10+ years of software development experience • 10+ years of experience in building Claims systems (preferably workers' compensation insurance) • 5+ years of proven architecture experience • At least 5+ years of experience in Oracle Forms based applications • 5+ years of experience in Oracle Database - including data modeling, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning • Development experience in an enterprise-class system with multi-tier architecture • Broad experience with various java development frameworks • Broad experience with various J2EE containers such as JBOSS • Expert in implementing successful distributed, scalable, high-performance multi-threaded server applications • Expert with Design patterns, SOA design & development • Strong experience in developing for high-availability clustered environments • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows • Strong speaking and writing skills • Comfortable working in a flexible Agile development environment *Other Skills and Experience:*** • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent Team Player Thanks and Regards Andy Talent Acquisition Team Glomark International LLC* *Direct: 908-333-5191 Fax: 908-688-8831* Email: *a...@glomark-llc.com / *Gtalk: ** glomarka...@gmail.com* <glomarka...@gmail.com> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
