Printing on Windows

2016-12-19 Thread Ton Kuypers
Hi all,

I’m having a problem when printing images on Windows PC’s from a LC standalone
app, just wondering if this is a known issue?

I’ve created an app on the Mac, printing in the IDE is no problem.
Saved it as a Mac standalone: printing works fine.
Saved it as a Windows standalone: all images come out as a black box…

The first problem is a very light image, with a graph on top of it. The image
shows fine on screen, prints fine on the Mac, but shows up as a grey box when
printing from a Windows PC.
The second problem involves images, noting covering it, just a plain image on a
page, which prints as a black box on Windows systems.

Version Windows: 2x Windows XP, 1x Windows 10
Version LC: 7.1.4, 8.0.0, 8:02, 8.1.1 & 8.1.2(rc3)

Any suggestion is welcome, because I’m stuck...

Create ean-13 barcode in LiveCode

2016-08-12 Thread Ton Kuypers
Has anyone taken the time to create EAN-13 or UPC barcodes directly in LiveCode?
I need to add an addition to a productmanagement system (written in LC), so it
is able to output labels with a barcode on it. I have found all the specs to do
so, but if anyone already invented the wheel…

Re: htmlText not supporting target in ?

2016-06-21 Thread Ton Kuypers
Hi Richard & Monte,

The problem is that I am creating html text that will be stored in a database,
to be retrieved by a PHP site.
The user gets an easy interface to manipulate this html, but a major issue is
that when the user adds links to PDF files, they need to open in a new window.
And the only way I know, is to add a “target” to the link…

so now I’m kinda stuck… bummer :-(

Re: htmlText not supporting target in ?

No, it is not the code, it is just the htmlText command stripping out the
“target” part of the html text…
It just disappears when you use it

JSON not working in Standalones?

2016-06-18 Thread Ton Kuypers
Hi,

I have a question about JSON, or maybe a bug...

1 field to enter a zip-code of a city.
The code in this field:

on closeField
   put "http://www.opzoeken-postcode.be/.json; into vURL
replace "" with the text of me in vURL
   put JSONToArray(url vURL) into tCities
   put 0 into vCounter
repeat for each element vCity in tCities
  add 1 to vCounter
put tCities[vCounter][Postcode][postcode_deelgemeente] & tab after vCities
put tCities[vCounter][Postcode][naam_deelgemeente] & cr after vCities
   end repeat
if last char of vCities = numToChar(13) then delete last char of vCities
if last char of vCities = numToChar(10) then delete last char of vCities
   set the itemdel to tab
if the num of lines of vCities = 1 then
put item 2 of vCities into fld "City"
   else
  put vCities into fld "Cities"
   show fld "Cities"
   end if
end closeField

This will place a list of cities and zipcodes into another field.

The function taken from the documentation:

function JSONToArray pJSON
   local tArray,tKeys
repeat for each line tKey in mergJSONDecode(pJSON,"tArray")
  put JSONToArray(tArray[tKey]) into tArray[tKey]
   end repeat
   return tArray
end JSONToArray

When you enter a Belgian zip-code like 3500, it will return a list of cities,
when you enter 2400 it will return only one city.
At least in the IDE it does, when creating a standalone, nothing happens.

I’ve tried this in LC 8.0.0, 8.0.1 (rc 1), 8.0.1, 8.0.2 (rc 1), 8.0.1 (rc 2)
and 8.1.0 (dp 1).
In all but 8.1.0 (dp 1) I’ve included all extensions, in 8.1.0 (dp 1) the new
“Inclusions”-tab in the standalone settings is disabled, so I can’t select
anything there.

Am I missing something?

Met vriendelijke groeten,
Warm Regards,

Line graph widget not working on Windows?

2016-05-20 Thread Ton Kuypers
I MUST be doing something wrong, but can’t figure out what I’m missing…

Created a small app with the line graph widget and 2 fields containing cvs data
and saved it as a Windows and a Mac standalone.
When I set the graphdata of the widget to the first field, it shows the first
graph, when using the second field, it shows another graph. On a Mac!

Doing the same thing on Windows, the graph is invisible, nothing, nada is
visible…, no gridlines, no graph.

Anyone a suggestion, what am I missing?

Warm Regards,

2016-05-18 Thread Ton Kuypers
Just opened the .lcb file (thanks Peter), but this is not for average
programmers like myself…

Could anyone give me some pointers, or maybe modify the widget?
It would be great to set a sub-devision like .5, .2 or .1 so the axis don’t
only show integers...

line graph widget

2016-05-18 Thread Ton Kuypers
Is it possible to change the scale of the axes of this widget?

It works fine, but when the values contain decimals, the axis only shows
integers, so 5,6,6.3,6.4,6.9,7,8 will show up as 5,6,6,6,6,7,8
Would be great to set a sub-devision like .5 or .1

I tried editing the source like Kevin showed during his introduction video, but
“module.lcm” is scrambled when you open it in Atom :-(

Maybe there are some “hidden” properties I could set?

Grid spacing not working in LC 8?

2016-05-11 Thread Ton Kuypers
Hi,

One of the things which prevented me to switch over to LC8, was that the grid
spacing set in the preferences was not working. Nothing dramatically, but very
annoying…

But I just found the time download the final version and to my surprise it
still doesn’t work.

I set it to 10, changed it to 20, but no result.
I searched and trashed all preference files from all library/preferences and
application support locations, but no luck

Anyone any suggestions on how to fix this?
