I think it depends on how you work with groups. If you use Edit Group to go in and edit a group, copy and paste acts the same as option-drag. Right, I wasn't in group edit mode at the time I tried all the different options. I wasn't complaining, I think it's great there's a way to make a copy of an object without going into group edit mode. Would be even nicer if there was a Paste into group command.
