Re: Geronimo 4.0 - JEE7
Hi, I haven't seen much interest expressed for building a Java EE 7 implementation of Geronimo. It does seem that we can expect the community will be providing components useful for Java EE 7 servers (e.g. specs, javamail, xbean, connectors, etc). Others may have their own opinions on this... --kevan On Wed, Nov 5, 2014 at 2:09 PM, Collins Solutions collins-soluti...@austin.rr.com wrote: Does anyone know when this released is being planned?

Yep. Historically its about a year or so between released. 3.0.1 was pushed in 2012. Re: Geronimo 4.0 - JEE7
Well, like I mentioned most of Geronimo components (specs, xbean, etc) are used in many apache projects like TomEE, OpenWebBeans, servicemix, karaf, and others. Geronimo EE implementations are also still alive and working (like OpenWebBeans, CXF, Bean Validation and others) on TomEE for example. But it looks like yes, the Geronimo project has been slowing down since last year. Dying? depends on the community and how much effort it can put on keeping the project alive. So if you want it to stay alive, join the force to contribute if possible. Depending on what you are looking for, you can give it a try to TomEE for example. 2014-11-07 20:41 GMT+01:00 Kevin Huntly kmhun...@gmail.com: Historically its about a year or so between released. 3.0.1 was pushed in 2012.
