If you specify this same script using a different RDP client - xfreerdp on 
Linux, or the Microsoft RDP Client on Windows or Mac, for example - does it 
work?

How to configure the “initial-program” when the connected I want to run a .bat 
script automatically.


As the documentation says, you specify the full path to the program to run.  
So, if you have a .bat or .cmd script, specify the full path to the script - 
for example, c:\windows\rdp-connection-script.bat.

However, this may not be the best way to do this, depending on what you're 
trying to do.  If your Windows system is on a domain, you could use GPO and 
Logon Scripts to execute a script every time a user logs on.  If it isn't on a 
domain, you can still use the Local Policy logon scripts to specify a script 
that will execute when a user logs on.

What is the script doing when the user logs on?
