OFBiz Mailing List Archives - Ponymail

2015-09-24 Thread Sharan-F
Hi All

Not sure if you've seen these.

http://ponymail.info/list.html?user@ofbiz.apache.org

http://ponymail.info/list.html?d...@ofbiz.apache.org

http://ponymail.info/list.html?comm...@ofbiz.apache.org

I think people in the ASF infra team are behind this initiative. I
understand that they have imported all the ASF project mailing lists into
it. I like the interface.

Thanks
Sharan

Though Ponymail has the same capabilities, I'll agree that we could perhaps
make the search form a bit more detailed. Suggestions are most welcome!

I will note that PM does have one unique feature which markmail etc don't:
Cross-list-threading. You can view a thread that starts on one list and
continues on another as if it's still one thread. This is very useful for
viewing commit emails and the discussion surrounding commits :)

Any suggestions/inputs should be directed at out GitHub repo or
d...@ponymail.info (or use the ponymail interface to interact with it, you can
use ASF Oauth there as well)

With regards,
Daniel.

Hi Sharan,

Yes just saw this yesterday, I'm a https://twitter.com/Humbedooh follower
(among other infra team members I follow :) )

I like it also (cool UI indeed), I tried it this morning and for now I still prefer Markmail because of its powerful search. I have maybe to try it
more...

Re: OFBiz Mailing List Archives - Ponymail

2015-09-24 Thread Jacques Le Roux

Hi Daniel,

When I add http://ponymail.info/list.html?*@ofbiz.apache.org:9: to Firefox search bars (to search in all lists "since the dawn of time", hopefully
passing a parameters) and search then for "test" (using the search bar keyword) I get <<dev@q=test=9, last 30 day>> as "title" and the URL is
http://ponymail.info/list.html?dev@q=test=9 and I get no result, though there are results when I search the dev list for the last 30 days.

I did not try yet to manually edit the Firefox search bar entry, is there
another way, else what should I put there?

Thanks

Jacques

I hadn't thought about doing an OpenSearch plugin for it - thanks for
putting that thought in my head :). If you use firefox (and you refresh
the page to reload the JS), you should now, in your search bar, have an
option to add "PonyMail: ofbiz.apache.org mailing lists" as a search
engine. This will default to a 30 day search across all ofbiz lists.

I hope that's something that can be of use :)

With regards,
Daniel.
