Re: Saved whiteboard won't load back into whiteboard (using Macbook Air)

2018-08-07 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
Hello Daniel,

#2 was just addressed, could you please test if everything works for you as
expected on demo-next https://om.alteametasoft.com:8443/next ?
In case everything is OK I can start merge your current version with 4.0.5

Yes, the issue was with this person saving the whiteboard to her

Re: Saved whiteboard won't load back into whiteboard (using Macbook Air)

2018-08-07 Thread Daniel Ascher
A similar error was just reported by another tutor, also using a Mac. In
this case she can't load files from the group files directory into any of
the whiteboards. She is getting the same error as the other tutor. From my
tutor: *"I know we're supposed to be able to drag and drop them from the
Group Files menu, but when I grab the file and drag it, it shows a little
plus and then it says javascript; - something like that. It won't actually
load though."*

I asked her if she can provide a screenshot. I'll let you know. Anyone else
have a Mac they can test this with?

Thanks. Dan

Re: max capacity?

2018-08-07 Thread Maxim Solodovnik
In fact
there are several possible limits:
1) max number of users per room set in Admin->Conference room
this is SW limit, all user above the limit will not be allowed to
enter the room
2) maximum amount of users able to work in the room without visible delay
this is limited to server HW, banwidth, cluster being configured, etc.

In case you have 2 users per room you are limited by server bandwidth only

Hello Ron,

Let's discuss what should be added in this thread
IMO configurations are "atomic" features, i.e. something equivalent to
what we currently have in Admin->Configuration
So we need to add options to group with care

max capacity?

2018-08-07 Thread Ron Eggler
Hi,

On https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_conferencing_software it
says that OpenMeetings has a capacity of 1-125. What does this mean exactly?
Can I have max 125 users logged in, in seperate 75 rooms (2 each) and all
of them will have separate sessions?

What's the limits?

Thanks,
Ron

Hi Maxim,

Thanks for the reply!
Are you a core developer and able to add more features? I could help too,
but I don't know my way around the source tree yet.

I would think that the permissions of the group with more/higher priority
applies, in this case "expert" - or one could mark groups with permissions
assigned mutually exclusive so that you can't assign two "permission
groups" to a single user...
