Re: Safari/iOS issues on Openmeetings v5.0.0

2020-08-15 Thread Jason
Openmeetings 5.0 M4 I think. I can try the WebRTC. I did setup Maxim to have
remote access to a current MacBook for testing that had music playing and
camera.

Re: [DISCUSSION] next release

2020-08-15 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
It seems well established that the Safari issue is a webkit/Apple bug. Not
OpenMeetings code issue.

So I don't see why waiting for our release would fix anything. There is
nothing wrong with the OpenMeetings code.

So I would think, maybe adding a note/link to the webkit bug ticket or
something, but we could release OpenMeetings 5.0.0

Are you using the official webRTC samples or OpenMeetings ?
Or both ? :)

I think in order to submit a bug to Apple/webkit its best to point towards
the official webRTC reference examples at:
https://webrtc.github.io/samples/

So far the status is: confirming if issue is with Apple or not.

I do think other products will have the same issue on Safari13. But I
 would be worth validating.

Somebody from Apple got in touch with me, and suggested that I submit a
ticket to bugs.webkit.org and attach sysdiagnose.

So I may try that and see if that gives some results.

My only ideas are around usage of the MediaStreamConstraints and some
special Safari settings that need to be considered:

But there is very little in terms of finding out what
 capabilities/MediaStreamConstraints Safari13 would support.

And Apple were also asking me to:

(kurento-media-server.exe:2576): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: g_object_set_valist: o
bject class 'GstAppSrc' has no property named '\u0003'
(kurento-media-server.exe:2576): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: g_object_set_valist: o
bject class 'GstAppSrc' has no property named '\u0003'

Kurento connected!
