Re: Issue with cancel button of delete recording dialog

2020-09-05 Thread ratatouille
Hello Maxim!

I log in to the demo server
enter a private conference room
choose start desktop sharing und stop it
the recorded file is now in "my recordings"

I mark it an choose the trashcan-icon
Get a requestor to delete the file or cancel the deletion
Deleting works
but when I choose cancel to not delete it
the requestor comes up again and again
I then choose the X in the right upper corner of the requester
to stop deleting.

Ah yes, found it. I guess it is the screenrecording.

I can confirm that when I want to delete the recording and press cancel
the requestor comes up again and again.

Registered, worked!

But it is not clear to me what Pooja meant with "recording". Is it the

or is it the recording of the screen?

Re: OM5 shutdown

2020-08-26 Thread ratatouille
Hello Maxim!

I asked on the Tomcat mailinglist and quote the answer below.

Those are all application issues. The application should shut itself
down cleanly. Tomcat is complaining because it hasn't.

I sent them log extraction about the errors and stacktraces when I use
the bin/shutdown.sh. Do you want to see the part of the logfile?

One thing I'd like to mention. When I execute shutdown.sh the java process

Question on invitation

2020-04-30 Thread ratatouille
Hello!

Yesterday I had a Video-Talk with a friend. He was sending me an invitation
from his account.
At that time I was loged in in openmeetings.

I clicked on the link in the email of the inviation and got to another room
where I couldn't see him, although he was inviting to the same room
as I was in.

I remember I had to leave the room I first entered and then click the
link in the email again to come to the room he was inviting to and to
see him.

Also we both had some Internal server errors from time to time.

saving camera-resolution

2020-04-29 Thread ratatouille
Hello!

Wouldn't it be nice one could save the choosen camera-resolution so
that it is available next time a user logs in?

Also when I am in a room a choose a different resolution for the cam
it is not taken over emediatly. I have to leave the room and enter
it again to get the new resolution.

Own machine for what? For a STUN-Server? I think it's the best to run such a
server on the same machine like OM.
What OS are you using? I use CentOS 7 with coturn as STUN-Server. Runs nice.

This is because there is an instance of the turnserver already running.
Why don't you execute a netstat -pantu |grep turn in a terminal to
see if it is running?

Where is the problem to start the turnserver via systemctl start turnserver
or what ever turnserver you are running?

If you don't provide details of what you are doing nobody can help you.

No, as far as I understand openmeetings uses a selfsigned certificate if you
didn't configure
it to use yours. Is openmeetings reachable with https?

Is this firewall running on the same host like openmeetings? Is this firewalld?
What does iptables -nL say on the firewall host?

Hello!

When coturn is running and I enter a room I get
"Connection to media server has been established"

systemctl stop coturn
"Media server connection for user xy failed, will try to re-connect"

systemctl start coturn
"Connection to media server has been established"

Hello!

I just solved this problem with Firefox by starting it with a new profile.
No problems so far with strict permissions. Glad I could solve this.

Thank you for your patience!

OM5 M4 plays nice.

Re: Media server connection failed

2020-04-24 Thread ratatouille
Just found the logfile after reloading about:webrtc

https://www.bitclusive.de/WebRTC-Interne%20Daten.html

I see something

ICE(PC:1587775452059964 (id=4294967301
url=https://bitclusive.de:5443/openmeetings/#room/4)): Skipping TURN server
because of link local mis-match

/build/firefox-7I7Llj/firefox-75.0+linuxmint2+tricia/media/mtransport/third_party/nICEr/src/net/nr_socket_multi_tcp.c:173
 function nr_socket_multi_tcp_create_stun_server_socket skipping UDP STUN
server(addr:IP4:92.60.38.182:3478/UDP)

Is this a problem with my router a home?

I tried to find out how to open a udp port sequence with firewalld but
had no luck doing this.

Yes, I edited applicationContext.xml.

The only thing I can say that a second try with a fresh install gave no
problems.

There where another java trace I don't remember now. But it was something
with "duplicate entry" and I thought this is a problem with MySQL.
I then deleted the testDB again and did a "FLUSH PRIVlEGES" in mysql.

Yes, I didn't create the DB, let OM do it. I thought MySQL must have a hiccup
when the error occured ;)

I don't know where the "credential":"5t6i73oHXXIpqpv8rs1ncxiC5WU=" comes from.
The static-auth-secret in the turnserver.conf is different.

I opened port 3478 tcp and udp INPUT in the firewall.
KMS is running.

As long as I try to configure the camera within chrome, the turnserver.log is
busy
and fine.
As soon as I try that within FF, nothing happens in the turnserver.log and I get
the same messages in the webconsole.

ICE failed, add a TURN server and see about:webrtc for more details

Don't know how to proceed. It's not clear to me how KMS, TURN and OM
interact.

I think there is no need to install STUN because the server is not behind
a NAT.

I just tried with Chrome and it works without problems.
Connection to Media server established.
With FF I have this issue,
So it seems to be browser dependent.

Media server connection failed

2020-04-23 Thread ratatouille
Hello!

Set up OM5 M4. I get "Media server connection for user xy failed, will try to
re-connect".
I stopped OM and KMS. Then I started KMS and then OM. Get the same message.

Cannot test Video and Audio in the settings. When I choose "Start recording"
nothing
happens.

What could be the problem?

1) download version apache-openmeetings-5.0.0-M4.tar.gz
2) unpack to folder `OM5M4`
3) run `./bin/catalina.sh run`
4) go to URL `https://bitclusive.de:5443`
5) enter these fields for screen1, select Next

Created new db and believe me or not the second run went through, no error
like the first time.

I'll try again with fresh setup tonight.

I can confirm this. Using Firefox 75.0 (64-Bit) and Chromium Version 80.0. With

I don't have 5.0.0 running on a CentOS 7 right now. But I'll take the
time this week to take it online. First have to be familiar how this works
with KMS. Then I can tell.

I have version 4,x running on an old openSUSE server and there it plays

Hello!

What does the "M" mean in the releases?

Yesterday a friend of mine created a new account. When she sent an
invitation from within OM all users with an account in OM where
suggested to her with their email addresses as recipient.

Is it possible (maybe via ACL or userrights) to hide those suggestions
for some users? I don't like the idea that a new user can see all
existing accounts via email-address in OM.

I have docker installed like that. But I struggle on understanding
what is needed then. As I understand, docker is a containersolution
like virtualbox for example.

But how do I call docker to install kurento? I assume I need an image
of kurento but where to get it from. The kurento site only discribes
installation with apt. Like Zenon mentioned they are focused on
Ubuntu.

Can someone describe the steps to install via docker and what is
needed?

Installing Kurento

2020-04-15 Thread ratatouille
Hello!

For me it seems to be nearly impossible to install KMS on a CentOS 7.
I have no clue how to achive that. The steps to do it are completely
opaque to me.

I read it can be done via docker but I have no experience with docker.
Don't know what steps to take and what is nessesary to do it.

Sadly if I can't install Kurento I can't use openmeetings as far as I
understand it.

Can someone provide help with this?

I read your manual. You also install VLC which I don't need on this server.
The packages required by openmeetings I installed from the repos and
did not compile for example sox, it's in the repo.

ffmeg I installed via

Now I installed Java 11 in the CentOS 7 server.

$ java -version
openjdk version "11.0.6" 2020-01-14 LTS
OpenJDK Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.6+10-LTS)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.6+10-LTS, mixed mode, sharing)

Executing ./start.sh says:

$ ./startup.sh
Cannot find /var/lib/tomcat/bin/setclasspath.sh
This file is needed to run this program

There is a setclasspath.sh in $OM5/bin only.
Don't know how to proceed.

Can this be solved and is it the reason I get a socket timeout?

Re: Problem importing root.crt into keystore.jks

2020-04-10 Thread ratatouille
Hello!

In your manual you are using the same command-sequence like I did with
according paths.
keytool -import -alias root -keystore /home/andreas/om/conf/keystore.jks
-trustcacerts -file /home/andreas/rootcert.pem

Where I assume rootcert.pem is the rootcert of letsencrypt and it's stored in my
homefolder.

I get the same error when I want to import the intermediate certificate of
letsencrypt.

Don't know what's wrong at the moment. This certificate stuff is very complex,
though.

Must the password for the keystore be set somewhere in $om config?

Problem importing root.crt into keystore.jks

2020-04-10 Thread ratatouille
Hello!

I exported existing letsencrypt certificate into PKCS12 format. That went well.

Then I imported resulting red5.p12 into keystore, fine.

Executing
keytool -import -alias root -keystore /home/andreas/om/conf/keystore.jks
-trustcacerts -file /home/andreas/rootcert.pem

gives an error after entering the password:
Keytool-Fehler: java.io.IOException: Keystore was tampered with, or password
was incorrect

Surely the password is correct.

Does somebody has a hint for me?

I modifed

1. Edit red5/conf/jee-container.xml file:
Comment Tomcat without SSL enabled section
UNComment Tomcat with SSL enabled section
2. Edit red5/webapps/openmeetings/public/config.xml and set

There is no $om/webapps/openmeetings/public/config.xml

Native RTMPS
2. Edit red5/conf/red5-core.xml file:
UNComment RTMPS section
3. Edit red5/webapps/openmeetings/public/config.xml and set

Again, there is no $om/webapps/openmeetings/public/config.xml

OM starts but I get an error

Is it mandatory to set up a keystore first?

Ok, thank you. I read https://openmeetings.apache.org/HTTPS.html and what I
don't
understand is that om does not listen on port 5443 after starting.

Self-signed certificate
This option is available out-of-the-box, just follow the URL:
https://localhost:5443/openmeetings

A Question about Tomcat

2020-04-06 Thread ratatouille
Hello!

When I start openmeetings with red5.sh an instance of tomcat is startet, right?
And when I connect to port 5080 I connect to tomcat, right?

Is the apache webserver involved in all this that is running on the same
machine?

I ask because I try to understand what is going on when I start om and I have no
clue about tomcat.

A year or so ago I set up an enterprise resource planning system that also was
running with tomcat. And there I modified server.xml and web.xml to be able to
use a https-connection to the ERP.

openmeetings over https

2020-04-05 Thread ratatouille
Hello!

I startet openmeetings-4.0.10 with ./red5.sh, installed it and can
connect.

Now I want to use https within the browser to connect to openmeetings
but netstat does not show it is listening on port 5443.

tcp0  0 :::5080 :::*LISTEN
30382/java
tcp0  0 :::5701 :::*LISTEN
30382/java
tcp0  0 ::: :::*LISTEN
30382/java
tcp0  0 :::1935 :::*LISTEN
30382/java

I am not shure at the moment what ports 5701, and 1935 are used for.

What is the right way to use https? Usually all requests to our apache server
are redirected to https and I had to create an exeptionrule for openmeetings.

Thank you for any help!

Regards
