I am frightened that the access to an USB-Cam is another way as to an internal camera. Have anybody an idea? If you can register the external camera as a device on your PC/laptop you can simply use it as a webcam. Most external cameras provide drivers so you can use them as a regular webcam. So if your goal is simply to have 1 user with a special camera - that might be the simplest solution and would work right now.
