Yeah  phone  browsers  only  search  for  front  and  back  cameras 
however  you can  use  android studio  emulator  then  select  a web  
camera

browsers do have access to usb cameras on desktops
but this might be limited on mobiles :(

and  operating system.

If you can register the external camera as a device on your PC/laptop you
can simply use it as a webcam.

Most external cameras provide drivers so you can use them as a regular
webcam.

So if your goal is simply to have 1 user with a special camera - that might
be the simplest solution and would work right now.

would be good to have external camera functionality soon. Because major 
percentage of people may be using external cameras. How can i help? What is a 
quick way to help in contributing. I am not good in wicket but will try to 
catch up. Please feel free to advice , suggest anything that can help me 
contribute. I like to get the external camera working at the same time 
contribute.
