Hello, everyone!

I am trying to integrate Apache Camel in a Spring Boot project, in order to
execute some commands (mainly) to a database and to a few Docker containers.

I have searched the Apache Camel documentation and the internet for some
'n00b' tutorials, but I could only find some articles for older versions of
Camel, which were not of too much help.

Can you please recommend some good resources to learn the basics for those
two types of connections?
Thank you, in advance.

All the best,
Bogdan

works…I am using eclipse. Has it got to do with some eclipse settings?

kafka 'exactly once' in camel

2020-08-27 Thread Vikas Jaiswal
Hi,
 I want to implement exactly once in kafka using the dsl . I have producer
and consumer both in the routes. For the documentation it seems that I can
implement it for producer using the below properties:
enableIdempotence=true
requestRequiredAcks=all
maxInFlightRequest=1
retries=1
For consumer I think I just need to be able to set the property
'read_committed' and it should work but I don't see an option to add this to
the consumer.

Also I looked around on the internet and found a ticket already been raised:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-15016

Is it possible to implement 'exactly once' using camel now and how?

Each connector needs to be in his own directory. How is it the your plugin

Camel Kafka Connector - running locally

2020-07-12 Thread Vikas Jaiswal
Hi Camel Team,
I tried running one of the examples locally for Kafka connect:
https://github.com/apache/camel-kafka-connector-examples/tree/master/file/file-source

I get lots of camel exception. I have set the "plugin.path" to the location
where I have unzipped the connector.

I do get the file in the queue. Also how do I read the file that is there? Is
there a way to read the file record by record and upload to the queue?

Certificate based client authentication

2020-05-08 Thread Vikas Jaiswal
Hi,
 How can I implement certificate based authentication in camel I am using
cxf which uses jetty as transport. I have currently configured jetty for https
and enabled certificate based authentication. I assume that you have to add
client CA cert in the server trust store and server CA cert in the client trust
store. Is there anything else I need to do or anything I am doing wrong? I have
written a client that uses http conduit for ssl setup. This does not work and
gives ssslhandshake exception but the certificate based client authentication
happens from google chrome after I add the client certificate to chrome.

Simple language evaluation camel 3.0.1

2020-05-01 Thread Vikas Jaiswal
I am trying to use simple and have the following in spring xml:

"header? contains 'HeaderName' and header.HeaderName = 'TEST'"

This always evaluated to true irrespective of the value of HeaderName.

What am I doing wrong here?

RE: Jetty banner & stacktrace while using cxf component: camel 3.0.1

Hi,
How can this be fixed? What I see is that the custom error handler is not
getting picked up by the cxf components (REST & SOAP). Is there a option in cxf
component for this?

Subject: Jetty banner & stacktrace while using cxf component: camel 3.0.1

Hi
   I have a issue with the Jetty banner that comes up while a 404 error
occurs. This is what I did to fix it:

1)  Extended org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.ContextHandler to create a
custom contexhandler.

2) This custom context handler is configured in camel-config.xml (I am
using spring dsl).

3) This custom context handler calls a custom error handler in which the
Jetty banner is removed.

I am using cxfEndpoint and have a uri configured in address property of the
cxfEndpoint. I assume that if there is any http error i.e '404' it should be
handled by the custom error handler that I have configured, but in turn it
displays the default error handler and the banner.

Hi

Yeah as Andrea says that sometimes these kind of reports can report a
lot of false positives.
But we are happy to take a look, so what you can do is to create a
JIRA and attach the output of the report to the JIRA.

RE: Issue accessing cert file in camel

2020-02-27 Thread Vikas Jaiswal
Hi Manoj,
I am using embedded jetty and have configured it using
.jks. I have read write permission on the file. For you, I guess you are trying
to connect to https endpoint and you need certificates configured for it. i saw
few examples on internet for the same but don't see any in the camel examples
provided.

Hi Vikas,

Maybe it's related to the version I am using. What file permissions do you
have on that jks file you are using? I had thought about that as well and
tried using a jks file but was still getting the same error trying to access
that file.

Are you doing the same configuration in your camel-routes.xml that I am doing
or are you doing it differently trying to use https?

Thanks,

Manoj
