There isn't a marketplace for cloudstack right now. There was a plan to
develop it where in we could expose the different templates available . It
was brought up during the Apache CloudStack conference last year -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxrZTSBzE7w but it hasn't progressed yet too
far due to some issues as talked about in the video.

Geoff is absolutely right . The basic zone installation through the quick
install wizard/zone-wizard doesn't support VMware hosts.

At least , I could not recall any features at this moment which do not have
UI support . There could be some restrictions though on the UI as you would
know like launching/deleting multiple instances simultaneously.

IPV6 support is already there and was added long time back (check the quick
install wizard and adding a guest network dialog box)  but yeah assigning a
template to a specific user is probably possibly via an API .

Let me take the opportunity to thank each one you in the Apache CloudStack
community for your valuable contributions. It has been a pleasure working
with you all and unfortunately I have quit my $dayjob for pursuing my
higher studies in the US which means that I might not get sufficient time
to contribute to Apache CloudStack.

I have been involved in developing the UI component of CloudStack and being
a committer , I feel it's my responsibility to help the community out with
whatsoever queries one might have. You might get to see delayed responses
from my side in case your queries are addressed directly to the UI
component of CloudStack.I might not get time to code a feature but I can
surely try to help someone with the UI code in case someone's interesting

CentOS6.4 and CentOS5.9. Sometimes I run into a weird situation where, when i 
try to create a VM using UI, I am able to navigate to the last screen where it 
asks for a name(optional) - review screen, and when I click Launch VM the 
windows closes in a flash and it doesn't create a VM.  It keeps happening 
repeatedly and creates successfully when I try it later.

Can you please suggest me, if I need to anything in the configuration.

Absolutely nothing in either when I do it from the UI. I did a tail -f on one 
monitor while I tried to upload via the UI on another.

When I do it from cloudmonkey I get the output at the bottom (sanitized,

exception being thrown ? 

Also can you try the following - 

Try editing  the HOSTNAME in the file /etc/sysconfig/network apart from the  
file /etc/hosts
For example
/etc/hosts:
192.168.1.1 x

/etc/sysconfig/network:
Hostname= x

I'm avidly waiting to see the responses that come to you because I'm 
experiencing the very same issue. I've gone through the Quick Installation 
Guide about 10 times from beginning to end re-confirming that every step was 
followed.

My setup is slightly different than the QIG in that I changed the private IP 
address to a 192.168.1.0/24 network as opposed to the 172.16.10.0/24network in 
the document.

I do not believe that there should be an issue with that as long as all the 
necessary steps are followed.

Looking forward to see what help we can get.

Currently , you could create a private zone by unchecking the ispublic 
checkbox while adding a zone through the zone wizard in the CloudStack UI . 
Another upcoming feature - Explicit Dedication of resources will allow you to 
dedicate zone/pod/cluster/host to a domain/sub-domain or an account or both .

I can not find a way to check which network is assigned to a virtual machine on 
the cloudstack control panel. So far the only way I found is to check the vm 
name and the host, and from the hypervisor check the network assigned.
That is a problem as only the infrastructure administrator have access to the 
hypervisors, for a customer it would be not possible.

Firstly , you need to share the management server logs . What you could also do 
is to verify if systemvm.iso was copied to your host and also if you are using 
a brand new xenserver host then copy  vhd-util to your XS host at 
/opt/xensource/. 

You can find it here - 
$incubator-cloudstack# find . -name vhd-util

CentOS template in the vm_template table.
However, I cant see this template in the templates section on client console.
  Any idea, what is going wrong?

You can set the expunge interval in the global setting configuration so that 
your VM gets removed from the cloud database after X seconds however the 
minimum interval which that global setting respects is 600 sec .

Looks really interesting . And yes , teams are allowed (3.2. Participant may be 
an individual or a team with an account on github.com ) .  The time period is 
March 13 - Sep  15 , 2013.

The contest demands contribution to various areas like development of a new 
feature or a mashup tool or some way of improving support for mydql database , 
enhanced UI's for better experience or a test automation tool to enhance the 
code quality . It would be really nice to have an entry here .

Can you check if your systemvm.iso is copied to your host and also try to copy 
vhd-util to your XS host at /opt/xensource/bin if your XS host is a brand new 
setup .  Sometimes the systemvm.iso is not found on your host when you build 
the repo and the systemVM's continue to remain in the starting state.
