RE: overprovisioning of local storage
As per 4.6 docs, storage overprovisioning is only supported with NFS when using XenServer, refer http://docs.cloudstack.apache.org/projects/cloudstack-installation/en/4.6/choosing_deployment_architecture.html. I have not come across a feature request for implementing this feature for local storage. In case you wish to raise one then please do so here, https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK/. RE: overprovisioning of local storage
Interesting though that there is a defect (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-8313), that seems to address this, that's fixed in 4.6 as per the Jira ticket and comments suggest that the changes were merged in master and 4.5 (9836ccdcf3b339718676847c1cfaee80cbffc1ca/ 940622c32fb0326dd2b081304edb809b66d4c751). So the documentation needs an update. Sorry, for vmware and local storage - there was a bug that was fixed. I figured it was not specific to VMFS though.. Hi, we are using CS 4.4.0 and it looks like we are unable to overprovisioning local storage. We configured storage.overprovisioning.factor with 4 and using ext local storage on XenServer pools.
