Re: DragonFlyBSD 2.0 RELEASE SCHEDULE - Release will be on 20 July 2008
I have tested the patch on DragonFly, but this patch to 9.3.4 has had little testing. Please test HEAD's named. See the commit message for details. I see that http://www.dragonflybsd.org/community/release2_0.shtml says wrong version for BIND. I specifically didn't update to 9.3.5 as requested. I did apply patch from 9.3.5-P1 to existing 9.3.4-P1 and named it as 9.3.4-P2 (my invented name).

2008/7/11 Matthew Dillon [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Now is the time for people to list their must-haves and would-likes for the release! Please use this thread. I'll start it off: Fix du and large directories: du -shc .data .data .data 458G.data 458G.data 458G.data -673.8G total I had a patch for this at one stage a long time ago, but I don't know what happened to it. I won't have time to do this before Sunday though (or anytime soon).

I would prefer that just the patch be committed to the current code base if possible, I do not want to bring in a whole new BIND this late in the game. I'll start it off: * BIND security fix * PkgSrc binary packages build for the release Any takers for each of the above items? -Matt Hmm, I'd like nataraid to be updated (there is a code bounty for it ... but this might be a too big of a change for this release?) ... Don't know about anyone else, but since HAMMER should work for non-root FS', I don't see anything other that I'd really need in this release. The patch for the issues from 9.3.5 to 9.3.5-P1 (minus win32 and doc) applies fine to your HEAD contrib/bind-9.3 (which is 9.3.4-P1) other than a few RCS ident conflicts. The original patch is on pkgbox at /home/reed/9.3.5-P1.patch and the updated src is at /home/reed/dragonfly/src/contrib/bind-9.3/ I am doing a test build now on HEAD. Should I be testing with a specific tag? I have tested the security fixes on DragonFly a few times (watching random source ports) but not built from DragonFly source yet.
