Re: Erratic Webview Behavior

2017-11-17 Thread bilbosax
I have some ideas for workarounds that I am going to try. But I do have a
question that someone here might have knowledge of. Is a webview a
mini-browser that Adobe packages and includes in Flex/AIR, or is it a
component provided by the operating system that AIR has access to???

I guess I am wondering if I opened a webview on the same iPad using a
different programming language, if I would get the same results because the
webview is the same component provided by the operating system??

Anyone know???

OK. I see your point. I will just add that this works in every browser on
desktop and mobile that I have tried, it only does not work in the WebView
that Flex provides, so I felt it was worth a shot to throw it out here. I
just posted here because I was hoping that someone else had run into a
similar situation and found a solution or workaround. I have absolutely no
clue how to get this infront of an Adobe AIR engineer to look at, or I would
do it right now. It is just so hard to find any quality help on the
internet with AIR these days, and I really love this program!!!

So if anyone else has seen any problems like this in a webview and wants to
drop me any random ideas, I am open to anything at this point.

Thanks!

Hi, sorry but don't know about other. But what I try to say before is that
the problem seems to be focused in an HTML interoperability with Adobe AIR,
so although you are using Apache Flex no flex code seems to be involved in
the problem, and for that reason I think adobe air engineers are the people
that should be aware of this issue, since I think we can't do anything from
the Flex side.

I’m using the Apache Flex Framework to write my AIR app, and webviews are a
part of that framework, so I think this is an appropriate place to ask.
Plus, this is the only forum I’m aware of with people actively discussing
Flex, AIR, and actionscript. Adobe’s AIR forum is dried up. I don’t even get
traction with AIR questions on Stackoverflow. But if you know of an AIR
forum that is more active than this place, please let me know!

Hi,

this seems more a problem in Adobe AIR than something related to Apache
Flex right?
Maybe this should be posted on Adobe AIR forums
Sorry if I'm not fully understanding the problem and the relations with
Apache Flex

thanks
