[libreoffice-users] predefined text to paste / insert
Hi all, I'm editing a document and need to get some predefined text to insert. For example, I have many {code}, {note}, {section}, {header} to isert inline the document I'm editing. For those who know, I'm editing a Confluence Wiki page over WebDav. How to store a string to paste in a key combo? Dont worry, I'm used to Emacs when coding, so kamasutra combos dont scare me. [libreoffice-users] [3.5.1.2/Calc/XP] Regex to find/replace numbers?

Fonts Re: [libreoffice-users] Albany ? Thorndale ?
Hi :) Fonts are tricky. Luckily someone on this list can often help people find an appropriate font. The OS should have a lot of free fonts included and it's usually possible to get a few more through searches. MS core fonts can usually be added as a single package. For others you need to do a search, avoid them, pay up or find someone else that has already done a search for nearest equivalents. Pressing Help (or F1) in the search dialog, you'll find a link to the List of Regular Expressions. There you can see, that a digit is represented by [:digit:], not by \d. So you might have to search for ([:digit:]{2}.){2}[:digit:]{2} or similar (without the double quotes). I think Liberation Sans can replace Albany and Liberation Serif replaced Thorndale. Specifically, Sans is closest to Arial; Serif works best as a replacement for Times New Roman; and Mono is a near-twin to Courier New. Supporting what Webmaster wrote above, I've been using the OpenOffice/Libre Office Suite since the .9 something beta of OpenOffice. Originally OpenOffice did not have Arial or Times New Roman. It is my recollection that these fonts were open source to supply a rough equivalent of Arial and Times New Roman. If you are looking to have more than one record on a page, look into the next record command Writer automatically assumes next record = next page when merging. When I try to access the templates through the organise templates feature, there are no templates. I also get an error message templates already exists- presumably a reference to the folder templates rather than really bad English. This error message also comes up when I open an existing document. I've checked paths and permissions and I can't see what is wrong. -- God bless you Keith Bates Narrabri NSW Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life The problem arises from a change in where the templates are located: LO 3.5 stores them in a different location (.config/libreoffice/3/user/template) than 3.4 (.libreoffice/3/user/template). Suggestion: use the organise templates feature again. If you use My Templates as the folders for your templates, highlight it. The click the Command button and select Update. Perhaps this will cause your templates to appear. If this does not work, copy your templates contained in .libreoffice/3/user/template to .config/libreoffice/3/user/template. Then organise your templates, highlight the My Template folder, click the Command button, and select Update from the drop down menu. The templates should appear.
