Hi.
Is there a setting in Libreoffice to enable/disable response to the
mouse in a window without focus.

I have one PC with LO 6.05 and one with LO 6.1. Both Linux.
On both machines all other applications will scroll with the middle
mouse button when the mouse is over a window without focus.

On the machine with LO 6.05 if I have 2 documents open, the document
without focus will scroll with the middle mouse button when the mouse is
over that window.

On the machine with LO 6.1 if I have 2 documents open, the document
without focus will not scroll with the middle mouse button until I click
into the window to gain focus.

This is a pain when I am editing a document and wanting to follow
through another document for checking purposes.
Steve

Are you using a KDE desktop? If so, it might be the desktop setting where you
can configure where the focus goes. (systemsettings5/Workspace/Window
Management/Window Behaviour)

The settings here seem the same. As I mentioned other apps are
performing as expected, as far as I can tell it is only LO that has
changed between 6.05 and 6.1. I will file a bug on
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/.

Hi

I recently upgraded to LO 6.1.2.1 and Ubuntu 18.10 and have a problem.

When designing impress screens, I cannot change the background colour.
Everything remains stubbornly white.

I right click on the page, select "Properties" then Background, Colour.
But instead of filling the screen it leaves it white. Selecting other
options on that dialog, such as Bitmap or Hatch still results in plain
white.

How can I change this?

There exists a check box "Master Background" in the side bar. It
should be checked. Is it?

Kind regards

I use lubuntu-18.10.
Sometimes, a letter gets corrupted but I only see it in libreoffice.

This example the 'p' displays as a ',':
http://lockie.ca/lubuntu_/libreoffice.jpg

I've also seen it when '2' displays garbled.

Any ideas about how to track down what software has the problem?

It seems you're using the Lubuntu (ie, Ubuntu) LibreOffice version,
which is different from the "official" TDF LibreOffice one. At times,
the packaged versions within Linux distributions may introduce unwanted
effects that the official version doesn't suffer of.

I'd first encourage you to download and install the said official
version and test with it. If you get the same problems, come back and
report here.
